Photoshop an Ice Cream Bar, a Tablet for Travelling
This week, Bert shows off his new Wacom Cintiq tablet and learn how to create a photo realistic ice cream bar.

When it comes to creating beautiful photoshop work, Bert relies heavily on his Wacom Cintiq 21UX. The 21UX is near perfect... although not mobile. Not to fret. This week, Bert shows off the newly introduced Cintiq counterpart, a mobile version called the Cintiq 12WX (retails at $999).

It's almost spring and Bert's been craving a delicious ice cream bar. Learn how to create a ice cream bar from scratch. Simply by using the Fibers and the Bas Relief filters, you too can create a nearly realistic ice cream bar. Essentially, these filters will add texture to your delicious design. Today's photoshop tutorial will melt in your mouth.

Visual Changes, Great Show!!

I love the new editing style with the closeups and such. It really improved the dynamism Bert's segment. This whole episode felt more cohesive, and was easier to stay tuned into because of it, I think.

Thought everything was awesome except the new opening music, the previous opening song was much better in my opinion.

I didn't really care for the little text things that kept popping up at the bottom.

Also from the looks of it next week is already done so why not release it with this week together? I was hoping for this episode to be longer.

Content Is Why I Watch...

I agree with a number of the above posts:

get the old theme music back;

dump the little graphics that pop up and display the same thing Bert just said (Bert: "Now I'm going to draw a stick." Graphic: "Bert is now going to draw a stick.")

PLEASE DITCH THE BACKGROUND MUSIC! It sounds like bg music from some bad 80s porno flick or a Hillary Clinton rally.

I watch PixelPerfect to learn from a master. The goofy visual and audio effects you're adding (probably just because you can add them) both detract and distract from the viewing experience.

Thanks!

New Show Format

Just fyi, I'm an avid fan of Bert's show and for the most part I love the new format. I say "for the most part" because I have two minor dislikes about the new format. 1. I far preferred the old show's opening music to the new one, I miss the old "tried and true" already. 2. Although I love the new "get up close and personal" approach to the video portion of the new format, I found the new background music both distracting and quite annoying. At times I actually found the background music so distracting that I could not focus (nor hear) what Bert was saying. My recommendations: Keep the new video approach, loose the background music, and return to the old, and loved, opening music.

Whatever, I'll still continue to watch each and every new Pixelperfect show ... Thanks Bert for your excellent tutorials. You are definately THE MAN! :)

There is still quite a bit of editing to be done on it... it is not as simple as shoot... release..

Just ask Glenn, BMF, Hansen, or Mauricio.. Hmm.. that would make a great Gazette... ask the Editors Edition!!

Hi guys, good job with the new PixelPerfect! The sponsor messages are a bit snappier now, and you seem to have a whole new style!

I would say that the graphics need to be tidied up a bit as they were better in the previous episodes (better font and 16x9), and I agree with franz_bibfeldt that the background music placed over Bert's drawing and such is plain annoying. Can you get rid of it? Bert is interesting enough on his own.

Also the original title song will be sadly missed, the new one seems to be a poor replacement, the previous tune matched the titles better.

PixelPerfect forever!

P.S. It's kind of nice not to know exactly what he's going to make until he makes it so can you not reveal the image in the previous episode!!!!

Was really excited about this lesson and then something had to damn well spoil it.. long shots of Bert's tablet. I hate that as you cannot see properly what is going on and miss things. I emailed Bert sometime ago about this and was pleased when it stopped.. but now it is back and it is REALLY annoying.
Could the cameraman stop these shots please.
