Heya guy's Id just like to say thanks for pixel perfect. I have learned soo much by watching your series.

I was wondering If Bert would be so kind as to do a show on how to create HDRI images in photoshop. Im getting into 3d animation and I like to use HDRI light probes in some of my work, It would be nice to be able to create my own HDRI lightprobes for my work.

I'd love to see an episode of PP that covers advanced/difficult selections and masking. Sometimes I want to take an object from one photo and move it to another. Some things are easy to mask using the pen tool. But transparent things, things with hair/fur around the edges, and complex objects can be a nightmare.

I used to use a Corel product called KnockOut to do this type of thing. It worked pretty well, and PS has similar tools. But I can never quite get them to work as well as I'd like. I'm sure Bert and his trusty Cintiq could show me what I'm doing wrong.

Could you post up an example of what you are talking about so that we could have a better idea of what your asking, like the transparent things. sometimes, when moving an object from one scene to another, I get really sharp edges where I made the selection. In that instance, I will select the object in the new scene, go to select > contract selection, and contract it by a small amount. I will then invert the selection and give it a tiny Gaussian Blur. It sounds like a lot of work, but its only a couple of simple steps

I tried some of the client work in my first mehod but I didn't like how it was coming out. Even though I did my Super Mario pieces like that, I just didnt' have time to do it right, so I'm going with method 2. Also, someone else is going to be doing the coloring ;)

I tried to be diplomatic before in my responses, but now you are just talking shite. The "endless bitching and repeating of the exact same thing" might be getting old, but in fairness, nothiing is actually being done about it. And that is why there is repitition in the forums.
Why is it that for a couple of episodes the production is perfect, then it gets bad again. Earlier in this post, Recklessftw said "I agree with the others, the camera plus LCD isn't cool but like was stated, they are going to fix that in the next little while so I won't gripe." This aforementioned "Fix" has been repeated to us on numerous occasions, but to no avail. I might fall into the catogory of just complaining abouit the problem, but that is just because I am not in a position to fix it from Ireland. The only thing that I can do from here is to try to bring this problem to the attention of the people who can fix it, by writing about it in the forums. I suspect that this is similar to the other people in this forum, like Recklessftw and Shinigami052, that feel that the show needs to be improved, but the only way that we can do anything about this is to bring it to the attention of the people producing the show by stating it in the forums and e-mailing people like Jim Lauderback. What else can we do that is productive??? The fact of the matter is that the show is being produced at a lower quality than it needs to be, and we, the viewers, need to know why. If it can be produced perfectly once, why not every time?!?!?!?!?

Good morning... I can't give you much insight on the production practices, but what I can tell you is that the folks here do read the forums and do their best to address your concerns (really and truly - that's not a canned response!). So just keep writing your constructive criticisms here in the forums. For some people here, it works better than email. =)
