The universal solvent is back. It looms, floating in a condensed visible mass, then bursts from its vaporous state, streaking to the earth at teminal velocity. Those blurred droplets called rain are a pretty simple thing to create, it's just a couple of filters and you've got it. Bert takes it a few of steps further to create a whole stormy scene with rain, lightning and an ominous sky. Oh, and there's a pirate ship in there too.

Via cut -- that put the ship in its own -- just like that. All right so now. I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna go in here and and they are behind this. On a command key and click on the new layer icon which create a layer behind the currently selected there. I'm gonna go in there and create stormy sky and I got black from my a foreground color that's going to change it to the great. And for my background color gonna pick a blue kind of like -- blue liked -- like that the American. -- okay. And then it's just turn off the face that we see what happens. Right here I'm gonna give it some clouds I've mentioned this before and I've done it and other shows like going to -- I get that and undo that. This time I hold down my -- if fired he might. My option which is or -- a PC and apply the same thing render clouds and you -- at this time the clouds have more contrast. So those might -- he's always change the way things work and turn our. Who. But back on and that's just going -- that they -- and it's kind of -- and you scale it up a little bit. You know up into the -- like that. I just make it even more ominous with photo. -- tones and he's big rush and they're just a little more blackness and this guy up in their make it really stormy looking. Now my a what area looks. Pretty clean right now so and still kind of -- gonna do that -- turn that into a selection and create. An adjustment layer on top of that of hue saturation. And that I'm gonna go in there and banana saturation little and darken it. That would start to get this nice sense that it's -- stormy there. So. Now comes the rain and click a new layer on top of that and fill them there lived black. Just like that and give it a lot of noise a lot of noise at noise big amount like that. Right now it's just a lot of black and white noise so -- from grace but it's just a little bit of -- more. That's gonna introduce some grays in between those those black -- Not that those days -- can go in there and toned down this noise and then go into my levels command and in levels and a push by -- in. That it starts to lessen the amount noises he was happening back -- and put my wife slider to make the whites really strong and bright. And the blacks of -- once I get less and less noise. And that noise that's left behind is really bright. -- that click okay. Now to turn that into -- another -- is gonna be put into use come up here and give it the motion blur filter. Motion blur effect this now a benefit the Angleton yet but I want to -- to becoming got to bring that distance -- it's not so strong. About -- let's say that looks good. So on top of the water here and create another layer. And then there I'm gonna take some white and we've got soft pressure just as road life long shaped like this. Nice long wedge shape you make a little straighter -- that. Now I'm gonna cut -- with -- water so it cuts off right there at the top. Now if you why you could go in there and media. The little. Little pinch on this -- distorted close enough to get through that it towards us how they. That's kind of closing it off I -- it isn't that sense of going off into the distance like that click okay that's looking good I'll put that they -- screen mode. So in this alpha channel I'm gonna go in there. And -- expose. Some things and hide others involved my adjustments and go into curves. And -- with my pencil tool I'm gonna go in here and take all these homes here and -- those -- Of course all that water area to white tennis like that and then the area of the boat and forced to black. And click okay I'm gonna invert this and -- that's of that part is visible right there. Okay from now that I have this. I'd come over here. And on my little boat gonna load that -- And send that to a new layer. New -- via copy. Tonight out of there that has just boat in it that's turned all my stuff back on. And has all these little -- So -- nightmare right deadlier of the boat and I'm gonna go into that layer and give it a layer style and -- there's thousand going to have a little.
