" Hi welcome pixel perfect would be -- mom to show we're actually all kinds of cool things in Photoshop and whatever else comes to mind. The answer a couple of requests. Put to into one I've got out of request for word. And a lot of requests for metal and put the two together and make one object that has both wood and metal. Alright so. But I do isn't it a little wouldn't that wouldn't plaque with a little brass player on pop that hasn't name. Okay so the bunch of steps that are involved here. Many of the text is -- create are just combinations of filters and so and that's kind of like what would just combination of a few different filters being manipulated to. To get this nice green and -- and kind of stuff you would find what. So over this I felt blank screen here on my Wacom Cynthia. And or you people who. What oddities look at used to so nice to be able to will be and it was the screen and even rested right on top there and and draw directly. So -- create a new layer right here. Had to give that there would give it a name like say it's the the -- okay that's the actual -- Too many letters there ago -- and a select a shape nice big rectangle right about. That. And that's good nice brown color and say -- chooses deep -- here and I'm gonna go ahead and fill that would fill that with that brown. Foreground color which is ground normal click okay and there and it. Now in another layer on top of that does rather create the actual texture and I select another. Rectangle as larger. Than the actual shape that I'm music from a plaque. The reason I'm making it larger it is wonderful to them on the use is gonna pull in the outside color. The area outside the -- there is an opponent's weakness you what's gonna happen here we go ahead and fill that -- backup same breath. And now comes the basis for the wood grain. Which is basically a bunch of little lines so I'm -- start off with is noise. -- add noise and give -- a large amount monochromatic who stays and browns. And pushed their way up to about let's say about a 169. Right. Click okay I got all this noise so what is the wood grain to bunch of lines and it has mentioned a second ago. So to this later on when apply another filter. Go here and say motion blur of motion -- gonna kind of streak it all out right. And nice horizontal angle on the pushed that distance I have a really nice long lines into a store and happen here. Feel on the edge how it's picking up that white. That's -- I was trying to avoid by making this thing much larger than it. And I got this really long distance here it happened go to 139. And keep in mind that that this is is set pixels so the actual low a resolution of your file has been determined that actual dimensions there so don't take that as a as Leo. As a formula that depends on your particular image and you can see was happier to -- in the background I can see lives. -- okay I have that. So now. I need to add some contrast is to really make it look wouldn't let it go into my adjustments and go down to -- my levels here. And in levels you see that most of my tones are in the center -- that donors and -- push my dark Cincinnati area and my license and there the cabinet even an all out. Click okay and now we start to get this nice wood grain and the."
" That moment clip it. With these with these they -- of the you would. Option click between those two right there now I'm themed texture only inside the area of the way it. Now in some cases that was pretty good. Let's just say you want some -- who want to give us some nice kind of additional texture. And returned the they would be would plaque. Into a selection recommend clicking on the preview icon. And I'm in the layer with the texture that they -- one erected at one has its texture and go into another filter. Right here cold liquefied. And liquefied going to give me the ability to go in there it's hard to twist this around. Not a first leg out of my work into your -- let's just go in here and Mika larger brush. Much larger. And I just got -- output from around it's kind of pushing things it is very loosely pushing them around -- by itself. We'd be nice little textures like that and only -- we get to my -- turbulence. And interpret infinitely a much larger brush. I'm just gonna hold in place just holding them places going to create some nice little pearl eight to think that maybe a little bit down here. That in there like that. I guess and now we have tonight from liberals here in there. If you want a little what not and go to my -- tool and this particular case I would get a much smaller brush communities. We've done this way and it does hold them plays that right there and added to hold it in place and a little not starts to form right there like that. I -- I'm done I click okay. And will then take effect and there we see that we have this nice wooden techs are going. A little birds -- down. Into the actual would apply. And let go when -- double click on that to bring up the layer styles fort and give -- some dimension -- three dimensional. By giving it a Babylon a boss John push -- the -- are gonna really strong likes and dorks. Set of the technique to -- hearts -- hard edged and make a little bigger. To think that not like that white up there I like that whites I would change that color instead of -- he's a nice kind of a yellowish color is your better tone in there. Click okay and that's what the late right over to decide that this look at this nice kind of an effect like that. I today is the would. So not pop this. When have little metal plate. And create another layer Alan Cole is one metal."
" And a select they the shape right here like that that that's -- inside the area of the wooden plaque. Now the car is good use of an internal kind of medal I use -- warm -- browns and and oranges and yellows it's gonna be brass or gold. I used -- appreciates grays and some soft blues can be -- We're gonna go ahead with breasts press is gonna look really nice against is what so I'm gonna go ahead and Philip. -- use that brown but were put in the background and for the fallout columnist at the nice that kind of a warmest yellow like that. That's good. Click okay and with my gradient tool set up to a reflective gradient. Have foreground to background I'll just throw at home right inside here like that. And now we should bring up the capacity for us but no way up there you go up and -- have this nice home happening there. I could because slight angle if I want like that. Beta. -- generalities but that's -- add more to this so let's go in here and just go ahead and the select that. Let's -- Give got a little Babylon -- some very sharp. Dumb boss against his hard. Bring up the depth. So we have a nice strong effect on it aside that again instead of -- got a nice yellowish color a nice bright yellow click okay. And also could balloon drop shadow slightly to drop shadow because it's raised from the surface of the way it. Click okay. Now this has to be shiny you're still. So I'm gonna go in there and though what my dodge and burn to a gonna add a few more features. Finesse and little dark tone right there and maybe a little one right in there like that that's -- there. And now with my dodge tool that's going -- and lighten up a little tongue right there and maybe a little. Highlight -- there may do one right down the middle. See those little touches right here added that sense of metal. I'm gonna show it looks like look at a map I'm sure -- some -- somewhere in new you look at it see what's happening how does it. React to light when it hits it on this show infections is polished is -- kind of medal is it. It's how it reacts to light that's going to determine the type meadows that's which you try to replicate here Photoshop. Now we have to it'll remain to this. So I'm gonna go in here and -- my text tool. In my text who I'm gonna set it up to this movie with that same yellowish color right there and an -- and click on topic here and I'll type in some tech. Revision 3 which I'm gonna go in there and play around -- so that fills up the plaque nicely. And that here. In although in here and bring it down so we have this nice. Date chunk of text click okay. Now. I'm gonna do that this is give it a layer style. Gonna go in here and it's gonna have a little inner shadow through that the inner shadow which are going to choke. So it's hard edge and maybe make that this is a little less about three that you do it right in this I get this nice little edge inside there. Push up that perspective or rather than capacity little more. Okay there we have this little edge now would take the actual metal. And duplicate that layer and put that on on top of the text and -- it with the text. Just like that and then I'm gonna move it down just a little bit -- move tool and move it over. Just a little bit down and over just that I don't have the same alignment of homes inside those areas here I get this nice little feel like that. Part of the that is our recess into the metal. -- there was -- and start adding sparkles that is if you want to whatever you want but we have a nice little metal plate on top of wouldn't play. -- something with that play around with different versions of the color is we'll give it -- for the facts that would back there. Imagine views and means and blacks and whites -- can be Italian marble. So whatever you want to be it's the colors that you choose and how they react to light is the term what something is made up. -- by adding. Little sparkles -- I would bet there it would make me look like it's highly polished. Hope you learned something from all this stuff. I want to thank my sponsors. Betty dot com who will host a website they will give -- Europe. Domain name and -- and design who applied for you. And if you entered the job the pass BER -- they'll give you an additional 10% off of in the order. At just a minute stump you unless we get work or something you've been trying to figure out how to do and just can't figure it out in your own semi Nina. Send me an email to Bert and revision3.com. And I'll try to answer right here on the show for. Looking forward to the next show. Don't forget the play best way to learn is to sit there and play with -- all the stuff. See you next show."
