Show Notes, ah, show notes. Well, what do we have here? I'm not asking, but I will tell. I, Glenn, shot about 6 hours of footage while in Amsterdam for the Next Web Conference 2008.

I got in several days early and toured around with Kevin Rose and Dan Huard for a few days and then later David Prager, Alex Albrecht, Amar and the rest of the crew as they arrived.

On day 2, Kevin, Dan, DPrager and I took a two hour train ride to Belgium - Antwerp. Once there, I got in touch with a friend of mine that owns "The Alchemist" brew pub in Stowe, Vermont. Strangely, he happens to be going to Belgium next week with his brothers and had several books on beer houses there. So - he hooked us up with info on what was supposed to be the best place in Antwerp - and wow - he was right. Not that we went anywhere else and had anything to compare it to, but this place was the shit - no need to try anywhere else. It's called "Kulminator". Be sure to look it up if you go there.

Anyway, we had a great time there. This episode was already about 20 minutes long and I was about out of edit time so I've decided to make this a two part series. The next portion isn't as crazy as the first but will be more informative. It'll include the Next Web dinner that event organizer Boris and his wife had for the speakers, some behind scenes and unseen footage from the live Diggnation as well as a few more scenics from lovely Amsterdam itself.
