A: You already have a show that brings the stars of internet videos on as guests. It's called Internet Superstar by Martin Sargent.
B: Costumes, alter egos, etc, would all bring a very different element to the show. In fact, I don' think they fit the show as it is at all. Thats not to say that you shouldn't do them, but maybe they'd be better suited for a completely new show?
oh, and i loved the bit with the boom mic.

However I didn't like the ideas they were tossing around. Costumes? Guests? Alter-egos? I'm sorry but I don't want the Digg Reel to become and Internet Superstar.
Agreed. I noticed most of the bad ideas were stemming from Pregger, I kinda felt like he was trying a little too hard to be "creative".
If he doesn't already, Andrew should have the final word on all ideas, because in the end, hes the one that's going to look like the ass.
I like what Andrew has brought to the Digg Reel already, and feel it is getting better with every show. I don't feel the urgency for changes to the show format, or to shoehorn in new "features". Let Andrew continue to explore the space at his own pace and take it one step at a time.
Its hard for me to bullet point out what exactly I like, and what I think you should keep doing, emphasize, ect; I'm much better at complaining. Having said that, I have nothing to complain about, yet. I guess my answer is, lets see what you got in action, and I'll be more than happy to flame/rant when you screw something up :)

That Gazette was pretty cool. Getting some information on the host is always helpful and makes me appreciate him much more then before.
However I didn't like the ideas they were tossing around. Costumes? Guests? Alter-egos? I'm sorry but I don't want the Digg Reel to become and Internet Superstar.
Adding the comments from Digg users and video replies or links that were provided in the comment were a great idea on their own. I wouldn't want it to turn into "America's Funniest Videos". I like it pretty much the way it is. Feel free to innovate by little steps, you'll get our feedback.

I liked the beaver analogy.
And I discovered MC Jelly Donut, so it was definitely worth it.

Pretty good episode, haven't heard much about the behind the scenes of The Digg Reel, the boom mic thing was quite comical :)
