"Do you think people actually believe they're two separate people? :)
Oh and Sarah already "spilled the beans" in an earlier Rev3Gazette .... forgot the exact line but she said something like "and Jay, who plays Gator, sits here...""
I know she screwed up once... My brain went lala la la la .. I'm not listening!!!!through that whole segment. Alex screwed up to on the latest diggnation.. but Kevin was there to "Fix the hole that Alex put in the 4th wall"
They advertised for IS on there show. But last time they make fun of him when they did. I was hoping for a funny crack this time around, but sadly did not get one..
Jay is Gator... Ya right.. Next thing your going to tell me is that Ricky Kang is really Gator also. ;)
P.S.
The reason why I care is that truth be told, I watched Infected for quite a long time. And wail I knew that gator was not his real name, and that he didn't really live in his truck, I had no Idea that the accent wasn't his own.... and when I found that out ( oddly enough by watching an old unscrewed episode and seeing him following Martin around with a Christmas sweater) I was so shocked that I pushed those images and thoughts way down into the back of my head where I would never have to think about them again. I knew that Jay was his real name but I had know idea that it was just an act. I figured he was who he was exept that it was way over emphasised on the show to make him seem more redneck and goofy than he really was.
But I like what someone once said.. About Jay not playing Gator, but rather channeling him... That I can almost live with. :)

"No boom mics all LAV's for us here, every once in awhile we break out the shotgun mic. Boom mics require additional operators to stand there and hold them and were so short on staff that we have one guy (usually an intern floor directs and run all 3 cameras and skype sessions)
Laying out the grid was a first idea but with I-beams and the light grid hung and piping and so forth it was going to take more time to lay a grid that would work than just hang it up chuck by chunk. (Did i mention the entire fire system and A/C cold water supply lines for the whole building complex runs thru the middle of our studio?)
Yeah the high quality foam would have been about 20k to cover the ceiling we have and the duct liner ran about 4k for the ceiling so there is a huge savings there.
The bed egg foam,,,,, I'm not sure what it will stop but usually that stuff is fairly hollow so it may not be ideal but anything is better than nothing. another good way to stop echo is moving blankets."
My old band put up a bunch of old moving blankets in our first practice space (a garage at a storage place-walls and ceiling were thin sheet steel and the floors were concrete!), but we didn't have enough. We started putting up pieces of carpeting, cardboard, furniture, etc. Whatever we could get our hands on. It turned out pretty good. I've seen some people use the egg crate foam before, but this was YEARS ago...I couldn't even begin to tell you what type of effect it had on the sound since I barely remember when I first saw it.

"Awesome job, Glenn. I take it now that you're being credited, that this is now your show?
@Dave Randolph (if you read this)...Don't some of the shows use a boom mic? I thought there were at least a couple that did.
I'm also surprised that you didn't lay out grid lines on the ceiling first, then cut all of your corners in, and then just throw equal sized squares for the rest of the ceiling stuff...it might've saved you some time. I did see that you've got some hanging pipe, but I don't know if there was a lot of it. If there was, then that method would be moot.
I'm wondering what they new Systm set will look like. I did like it when you were filming in front of the double doors (your house?), since it gave it a "This Old House" feel to it.
Glenn, loved seeing the IS set, and seeing the thought process on how it was put together.
Joan Howard's set design for IS reminds me a lot of how Joel Hodgson went dumpster diving years ago to make the set and the bots for MST3K.
Joan, if you read this, I wanna give you a big thumbs up. You want some help on figuring out how to do some arts and crafts without being "artsy"? Just pile things on that you think someone (in this case, Martin) would like...You did a great job on the sign though. I would've thought the same thing, and when you said "8 year old", it's exactly what I was saying...think like a child. Good job! I can't wait to see what you do with the outside.
@jaywilliams, the Auralex stuff costs a ton of money, so I think this was more a financial decision. They can get a lot of coverage with the stuff they used.
If worse came to worse, I would've used regular egg crate foam that you can get for your bed to at least pad the room a bit, but I don't know what frequencies it's good at blocking. I bet Dave would know."

nice job on the show.
the other day i thought of what might be a funny idea do a "making of the making of one of the shows". or it could just be a really dumb idea.

Ummm... isn't the point of the R3G to break the 4th wall. This isn't a Shakespearean performance, it's a television set. There would be no "behind the scenes" if we didn't go behind "the 4th wall." If you are a fan of the 4th wall, don't watch the R3G. Problem solved.

I forgot to mention in my original post, I also favor having the Rev3 "call sign" in the upper corner as opposed to the lower corner. I'm not sure if it was a test to see if anyone noticed, but as I said, I like it in the upper corner.
