A fabulous mink wrapped notebook? Automotive paints, laser etching and water bubble finishes? It's one of our odder episodes of Systm.
Bubble finish? You should see the texture David Randolph can deliver from a spray bottle of water and a heat gun!
Meanwhile, he's going more in depth on explaining how you get a VersaLaser (thanks to Universal Laser Systems for loaning us the machine!) to burn pretty pictures into your notebook... plus the uses of transfer paper to protect surfaces while you're laser etching.
Meanwhile, Patrick's going a different route with his notebook... something more... furry. Not in the animal costume sense (nothing wrong with that mind you) but, yes, he's covering his notebook in fabulously luxurious Mink. Faux mink, anyhow, thanks to the fur aisle at the local discount fabric shop, 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive and a DIY vacuum bagging Systm.
OK... it's actually a SpaceBag, as seen on TV, but a pre-made vacuum bag is a lot easier than glueing together vinyl into an airtight container, adding a valve and -then- getting to vacuum tighten the fabric around your notebook while the glue sets!

" Okay so his -- here -- next --"
" pregnant right okay so but here's what I got. Patrick awhile back. It has MacBook he never finished it. -- over the cubicle going -- And so I mean that with Roger I'd bet that I could start and finish the project and one episode. A whole different laptop. Without -- figured it out yet. And be done before he even pictures it's. But that's what did it not only that but with a few extra techniques I'm gonna show you a few things in contradict Catholic analog stuff right now. Talent. It's not in MacBook it's gonna be a windows machine. That's the system. So. To start with that. What I have is on -- a lot of same things it's not Patrick start off with -- you know well ventilated area idiotic idea out safety safety safety all that stuff. Trying your surface and all that and an in -- and -- have but I have a few deviations to it. The first primary deviation is that I've switched my prime I'm over on my filler primer. This is slightly different is an automotive primary was primarily for going over -- work. So this materials really this this particular type is good for going over filler fiberglass plastics metal. The whole -- So vastly different me primaries when you and it's because I'm gonna be doing a slightly different standing and Patrick did. This is all automotive that's they can point out my primary color that I'm gone for this week if it's gonna be is metallic blue. Now is metallic blue is really meant for homes or steals or other stuff that works on all surfaces. However I'm not using the extra coat put on top of the primer. Because I'm gonna go for texture technique the next thing is is that. I'm also going to be put in an acrylic enamel for this is basically to protect all my work make -- a little more rigid little more solid little more durable. So. And tech wanna act an exact same thing that Patrick done. Except I went with my 320 sandpaper like it first. And then has pushed up to 800 sandpaper. Now Patrick swears this nation go above three when he -- the -- and automotive paint I think probably find it can stick really well all that. Now here's the thing. My final sandy was really out there and I'm actually gonna finish the top here. So I'm gonna do what the -- wet sandy. And basically it's exactly what to think after the primary coats completely giant everything's safe what you're gonna do. Is basically -- the surface. Liberally let you know you don't have to be too shy about this. Com that's quite dissimilar computer by the way. It hit. And now I'm gonna do is basically just sit here. And slowly move the surface belong. I'm not too shy about over standing trying to go to that moon's surface. This could."
" mine second affairs pass of the 1000. -- Hamas and a lot of people that a shot fourth 2000 Griffin won't -- hi there. Com which is good too with this this half of the equation when it comes to -- your hair -- off. But people think well -- glossy -- things glossy this not the only part the actual standing and buffing and polishing is she just as important. Now really start to get into it. The other thing is you also -- I'm kind of trying to stand in one direction that's because I want all the scratches. Because even a thousand greater 2000 group we're gonna get all the same. We're still going to scratch. So I'm trying to keep those down to a minimum. So. Now I got that down discovered paper towels from underneath and wipe it down. Just to get the excess water off for now and check my work."
" Now the waters actually just lubricate in the sand paper and make it even finer so it's not gonna be as much scratch and you can. Say that's how little we really took off the surface wasn't powder any of that stuff. It was very light. And the surface just -- smoother and smoother each time. Now with facts. When I'm gonna have to do is I'm gonna take this into the bathroom -- put it Hussein and I'm gonna washing with soap and water and again. He is clean as humanly possible. After I cleaned it I don't want my hands on the don't want any mind -- actually get on this before I do the next step. And we'll be back right after that. It's on back from the bathroom and I got all nice and it looks waste than it did before already. You'll notice I'm looking kind of spying on. So what we pull this off and re -- all right. One of the downsides and upsides today look at. Contacts managing easily work at all pretty easily. One of them have to -- finish this is to trim the edges a little bit and I'm probably gonna see those inside notebooks. It's been about a billion hours of this in the sand off the old contacts that are displayed more but it just hear more."

" What you can still go to go to -- Like you know super thick -- you know point you know pretty well -- all going together me edges and if it. Yes. You're I think this there's no ram and yours you know waiting -- rattle. There about a three and spread six inches and the big thing here is the future you hit the edges and wait for it -- And work really hard core -- and that's -- put it on both pieces was pre packet both sides and then you very very careful."
" Current -- protests geforce seven defendants not is that -- thinks that any which are legitimate formulas for different reasons. This -- generic Ethan made by 3 am if."
" So make -- got this up. -- He's in the right direction."
" And down. This is -- really interesting fingers are sticking."

" Yeah. And that the African. States."
" It's looking for in new domain name. For that is going to godaddy.com. So there's just like where the announcer comes on the show and goes."
" It's amazing thing but it's not a competitor. Aren't going your way later. Can store up."
" As part of the job site I. Men don't -- pocket. Picking -- all out I think we're."

" And traditionalist that -- and it's a lot more fun to do it -- easier to do with this basically -- people -- Traffic Clinton. Really goes back to done."
" Now users. Work. Exactly."
" And yet -- it and it. Really good Turkey under four hours."
" Then go there. Self care we promised to show both notebooks assembled and running and that that some of them -- user's system."
