The episode was quite informative. It probably needed 2 episodes to totally flesh out the subject. It is a good starting point in an interesting topic. I cant wait to get a green laser and try it. Has anyone tried it, good/bad results? Two Scots in kilts eh?

Internet needed in two places at once

Put the cable modem and a wireless N router over by the XBox. Make sure it is wired in with a cable, and not using a wifi dongle.

Get a 802.11n card for the PC or laptop. The speed you get for downloads will be fine - your bandwidth constraint will be the much slower cable network rather than the wifi.

Since this is a new setup, you might as well future proof yourself a little and get a 'n' router.

Wirless Receiver

I have a question about wireless receivers.

I was wondering what the best usb wireless receiver currently being sold is, when I got my PC it came with a Dell wireless 1450 receiver but this is not great and I do not get a very strong signal. Only 1 or 2 bars and a low signal strength in windows where as my PS3 gets 40-50%

It needs to be b and g, my router is DG834N but set for g +b.

I'm going to guess that the way the Litepanel does it is to simply use a higher pulse rate. Over 75 hertz or so it shouldn't be visible.

Could you please upload a circuit diagram of voltage regulators in episode 30?

I like the idea of a "construction tips" episode. There are lots of these tips scattered all over the place, but you'd have to watch hours and hours of video to catch them. It'd be nice to have a collection of segmented clips about how best to do different aspects of a project.

As someone who's built a lot of projects, from a simple PCB-only to a fully enclosed gizmo in a plastic box, as well as wood projects that don't even involve electronics or robotics, I can safely say that I've learned new things or better ways of doing certain things on EACH and EVERY project.

Tekzilla and (ugh) PopSiren have daily tips that are only a minute or so in length. Perhaps these tips could take on that sort of format?

Drilling holes, as mentioned above, could cover several of these short episodes alone. Drilling in metal, plastic, or wood require consideration for hole diameter as well as rotation speed. Clamping the material may even be a one-minute tip in itself. Center punching for certain materials (metal and PCB substrates especially) could be another.

Maybe this has been suggested before, but I'd like to see a guide full of tips and tricks that go into making a project fit together properly, and work. Things like the starter punch for drilling a hole in metal, how to use calipers, test cuts for saw blade depth, and conventions for marking cuts.

It's boring stuff and doesn't necessarily make a good show, but it would be nice to see a simple faq of construction tips.

p.s. Great work to the systm team!
