Microsoft Buys Skype, Google I/O Updates, Self-Driving Cars in Nevada?

Microsoft bought Skype for $8.5 billion, and now we're all waiting for it to show up on Windows Phone 7 and the Xbox. Google I/O brought forth a bunch of exciting new announcements, like Chromebooks, which will soon be available on Amazon. Android @ Home will bring home automation one step closer, with partners like Lighting Science, and the Android Open Accessory Development Kit makes it easier for others to develop accessories for Android devices. Ford will be using the Google Prediction API to make their cars smarter. And speaking of smarter cars, Google wants Nevada to become the first state to allow self-driving cars. And if you thought you had storage capacity issues, the NSA collects as much information as is housed at the Library of Congress... every six hours!
