Signing up for stuff is easy. Cancelling is the hard part. That's why this week's "Website We Just Can't Get Enough of!" is WikiCancel! It's a pretty straightforward wiki, but it's helpful if you can't figure out how to get out of a seemingly ironclad O Magazine subscription, along with tons of other sites and services that people are trying to get out of like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc, to gym memberships and websites like Netflix or Pandora.
Matt in Maryland wants to upgrade the microphone on his Canon Vixia HF200 and asks, "Would you recommend either a shotgun mic or a wireless microphone?. My goal is to not have the mic visible to the viewer and to have clear sound." We talk shotgun mics vs. lavs (lavelier, or lapel mics), which is most appropriate for different kinds of shoots!
Paul writes, "Was I delusional or were there 2x8 16GB DDR3 RAM in the $50-ish price range before Christmas. Now that I have paid some of those Christmas bills down, the prices are jacked up to the $80+ range (closer to desktop). I just hate to upgrade from 4 to only 8 (only 8, that sounds CRAZY)." Amazon has JayBird's Freedom wireless earbuds, and JayBird's BlueBuds X are coming soon. We've seen audiophile wireless earbuds in the past, too, tho we've never been tempted to go wireless with our earbud purchases!
