Geoff from Manitoba writes, "I own a Radeon HD 5970 which I purchased for $800 CAN back a few years when I spent over 5K on my new gaming rig. I was looking to upgrade to something newer, but everything I've seen so far in comparison are not as good. Am I missing something? How can a card made in 2013 be 'not as good' as a card I bought back on 2010?" We're not sure which benchmarks Geoff's been looking at, but Passmark and Anandtech's GPU Bench suggest a new $300 GPU like a Radeon 7970 should deliver 50% more FPS easy!
