Clean Up Your MP3 Collection!

Kevin's looking an application that can "scan my computer and identify duplicates while creating a list of all of the songs on the machine" and hopefully have the app reorganize the folder and file structure of all of his music and re-organize the collection by artist/album/track.

Veronica's choice for cleaning up a music collection (especially the sort of messy ones that come from lots and lots of downloading) is TuneUP. MediaMonkey is another great options... iEatBrainz is no longer in development, but MusicBrainz, has some interesting options!

" Well we're not trying to start unfounded rumors -- good evening I. We're just say that's how it looks and day out both Google and Microsoft wants you beta projects today techcrunch fifty. Bing dot com plus visual search Microsoft research that consumers can process results with images 20% faster than text only results."

" Only it didn't say all the bank's -- and what bags will so they so basically some special pre selected area code and bags. Beirut using silverlight -- are currently limited to pre selected galleries it's more browse the search right now. Google also dropping visual search announcement at techcrunch fast split dot Google apps dot com is Google news meets -- magazines at the newsstand. You put your screen shots of actual news articles. Google's experience blogging week passed over views of headline pages of top newspapers. I thought it was like wow website he's really tiny -- for headlines. You actually -- and looked pretty useful. You're -- in 19 out of the switch that turned me onto it for safari actually gives you little thumbnail images in Google search on safari so. It actually did help me choose which items to click on. I don't know maybe it is as it might just be the screen -- because we -- my little tiny netbook but all I could see was little tiny gray smudges where the text color. It could barely readable like two point headline about that. It's everybody's getting into really being visual search these days and certainly being bugler going to be beating each others see Microsoft -- be on each other the other -- tech -- news -- most excellent Penn and -- iPhone application. But Intuit has agreed to pony up a 170 billion permit dot com want two years ago at techcrunch the winner of the techcrunch sort of you know -- prize of joy. And it. Why it's perfect garage or in the case admit dot com kitchen started businesses can still pay off the question is what it into it the same folks who brought us Turbotax quicken had bought Parsons technology's which you've probably never heard of back in 1984 parts of being the guy who went on the found go again. You hey keep it -- the -- said the state basically bought my application to disappear and you are huge -- fan."

" Yeah I do not like mid July cool concerned about and worry about it too much they did say that they're -- mint dot com working the way it has been for the past couple years which is good. But you know down the line they just gonna absorb the software and can turn it into a into quicken style online pretty -- quicken online what I've."

" I've -- friends who crew used quicken online they all left it to work with me and yeah they still use some of -- other projects so maybe maybe -- like we want the new Internet technology that does that well maybe I guess I -- to -- and a whole -- there as well so far from what I've heard. It's a basket that you buy these kind of scary that's did it because this is like have a pretty -- Now it knows all of your banking information is that freak you out the other part of big -- quicken."

" Well quicken is -- information -- they do my taxes for Turbotax. Yeah infants through one way or another -- Our Christmas of the day comes from Kenneth take it away --"

" I Tekzilla. I just recently and my laptops stolen. And I was wondering what security measures. To secure the finally here. What's available or possibly tracking it down after it still. Takes."

" Well that has sucks Kenneth especially if you kept a personal files that machine. The first thing we hope you have is of course back -- yes I know we -- concept in your head constantly but for times -- experience laptop theft. Having a backup of your data is a lifesaver or I jobs last."

" Business paper but it. Well how many times we heard the last couple years like -- government agency loses 42 billion you know the the VA is lost critical data on laptops. Credit card company data has been lost -- lab."

" I just got nothing from Radisson saying that all their data it got stolen. -- scientists look for that credit you know credit Equifax. So you could you worth nearly all our money -- from -- counts of it is now have that visualization there well it's."

" It's good if you're if you're worried about the security of sensitive needed whether it's client data bank statements credit card numbers you know work projects. Use encryption on your notebook you can encrypt an entire drive or select files and individual containers. Where the best encryption tools out there TrueCrypt is also free from Mac OS-X windows and Linux. That way even if your laptop your hard drive was stolen you can be pretty confident that your personal info and files are inaccessible to the thief or thieves unless you've really ticked off the NSA and they're gonna do they're magic under the grounded. Washington DC which who knows what they can crack at this point."

" You might wanna consider remote tracking -- like -- traces laptop LoJack. Which embeds -- itself and the system's -- and calls home as soon as it's connected to the Internet sending back the IP address Mac address Gateway address to the monitoring site which -- with police. It's in the bios to defend the for formatting the hard drives and they can reuse or resell the system. Hardcore security types again has potential to be exploited by malware. We're concerned about whether or not let's forget the -- back on in the end you should probably consider worst case scenarios and having a laptop stolen. Make preparations so that data is inaccessible to the thief or thieves as much as possible."

" Yes definitely liked it if you have critical data that's only if it's if it's normally only had a laptop. Make it back up use an online service you can back up data when your on the road. Yeah and then encrypt that data if you basically if you if you throw TrueCrypt to the entire hard drive intricate just it's open source we'd like it it's free. Basically needs solvable he passed -- to access any of the deal on your hard -- excellent ten you can do pretty thorough encryption that way so that you reported that it actually doesn't have a particularly heavy impact on the performance of your system is nice which which is nice because. You know back in the day encrypting files could make them -- flew to Google you overdrive because your CPU adapted to encrypt every single bit of so it's -- it seems to. It there might be put in which you might be impact but it's not gonna be nearly as brutal as it was back in today."

" And also -- slightly slower totally gone. It's still didn't get all your data and then to your bank account. But right now I'm sad but if you make me happy with it the -- video question that's segment illustrate Tom -- I just -- in front -- video camera asking a question make sure it's no longer than fifteen seconds upload your question to -- to an. -- you questions of decline. It's so easy trend setting is fun today."

" Coming up Lloyd case doctors about Intel's new core -- five processor but we got your kitchen. Let's take a moment for word from one of our sponsors the united states air force."

" this week's freebie download pick a free program we find useful fun or incredibly. This week he he. Security have a free app became the load your heart healthy nation you can check out here. The beautiful break getting your hard drive specs features model information it'll take temperature readings you BC it parking. This bar report that he self monitoring analysis reporting technology -- the vote drives yet it's more we'll tell you whether or not your partner about dot. People hear about content forever. If you're super paranoid he picked -- was about to go or repairs it. Right right and errors candidacy to back up immediately backed you should probably backup just in case -- matter how your hard drive well. Finally the built in benchmark he runs low level we test floppy drives compared to other models -- your PC. If you want more capabilities like this monitoring -- functions in a more complete set of it -- school. You can step up the pro version for 35 dollars but as it is because it's a fun tool which is that it needs of the need PC users."

" This week if you don't developer for details big annual gathering work. Well try this at the pack of computer PC technology for the next year five we're find out about new technologies and processes that we'll all be drooling over we hope. That doesn't meet in Telerate and the have been silent in the past few weeks joining us today is what case freelance tech writer and analyst to whet our appetite. For processing power starting with the core I five. This is a great you processor you may be based only at its core I seven."

" For everybody -- performance on this and actually we should. Alternative there's new core I sevens to which really news is confident in the socket. It's a health problem six. And it's. This sort of you Yang design going on there that kind of fascinates me right could fit the new socket which means -- and more than once talked to worry about now friends and users. But it creates them the ability to help lower cost motherboard because it's only two channels and 31 Camille chorus. Interesting so for -- they can are -- and it basically drop off thirteen 66 are they now -- that socket now. Certificates -- six was with triple channel memory and is really great for performance enthusiast certain kinds of -- applications -- workstation class apps. And that's the socket that's been there and oppose -- use for the next generation -- animators its core processor. So for the new socket how they actually save money as it does look like idiots got a few for Europeans gonna figure immediately several things when things since they were able to cut down the number of average altitude instead of three. They brought the PCI express controller onto the chip itself. Also the -- experts controllable but it's now. Sixteen lanes total for the graphics seeking -- ones that feeling once extremely graphics card or to -- him up and personalized. Interesting thought so for it was second actually this is gonna -- overall performance but. There's some other tweaks in between the core I seven in the chorus five they -- what's the what's the biggest difference difference between any horrified and Christmas -- authorities and holes. Term port call simultaneous multi threading and so in other words from him -- will be pretty you have the core."

" And you have a sort of logical process and it runs and uses any extra resources of a courthouse Portland house. And with the Intel Quad Core processor you have 83 of them will work. So if you're content creator running Photoshop for -- the video editing but fairly high end tool. Are you gonna notice the difference on the core fibers of the chorus -- you don't well again that for two reasons first call secretary really kicks off from the aptly put up like premiere of those kinds of applications. Also. One of the things that happens is that the Intel has chosen to make chorus five or clock speeds -- handle whammy it not for threatening you lower clock speed. Under him Israel o'clock so -- just -- so you're saying people are hitting like four gigahertz but the core I wear pointy -- it's cleaner and and -- So for for for content creators and wanna still little core I seven went -- for people are running a basic video team or simpler applications that don't benefit as much from -- Clark were fired or even a core part of the standard clock rate which is two point six years is still perfectly good a lot of games. That's a good thing the other big announcements it would get the new processor and new socket. Sort of a splitting what's again of the lines from Intel with a more high end version of the processor for the consumer. In heels big on Intel right now Intel wanted to push that in total reform will be thirty meters -- could talk a little bit about -- a couple weeks ago the press. Featured demo that treatment -- what's your processor. Firfer frame of reference the current core I 75 supported by animators and other words into -- tree in the process again. -- put more transistors ship. Or make the chip smaller. -- it choices to that's a heat shrink yet it's pretty substantially in series all on line. That's kind of scary thought thinking in also ruled prove that yields per wafer which in theory should bring prices down and is actually that in into both publicly announced their first. Known shipping product based -- was there will be a mobile to corporate. Interesting. In terms of the taxis music when payment as -- core five core five versus the core two duo is it significantly faster yes really yes the 200 dollar -- you know. It's faster. In almost all the benchmarks. In the premium dealer or to what kind of that's definitely if you're gonna go for a two dollar part the port if -- but if you're willing to upgrade your motherboard ought to step yeah and and move up. -- the hard part is it running on. Which type of members is in beer history it is using. The Senate for a -- a lot of people. Indeed -- announcements. That should be press briefings recently but just that he can't partly at what he tells them what's going quality and one other thing is of their announcing just him and this week is the hundred dollar or per process. Tonight -- dollars where -- low and add -- for and I'm sorry Athlon X two X four processors. And now. And -- they can keep track and at any rate it what is -- about it is its Quad Core processor it's and in bucks. If you want integrated graphics motherboard based -- estimate on G chipset. Unity cable system will probably four dollars and opposed to 300 dollars loan sprinkles -- on the -- right now. And probably a fairly serious processor performance it is pretty decent -- you know every -- happy -- in theory could partly an office of these. Are you see any of the primary I think they these seem to have lost the battle at this point four. Process overall processor performance yet until Andy's kind of comes out with their next generation secure architecture. That's probably correct they can't compete on performance that human rights and pan am also we were at one point he even more power but you Intel's tick now we've from him. Your hand we can talk to much about it now with -- got some cool stuff on the graphics pipeline that'll be. Were you seeing with I unity one of the things you can talk about this I affinity is AMD's new. Technology from all driving multiple monitors have multiple enemy to mean three or violence of the six displays what one graphics card with them has when GQ one. It's actually pretty neat stuff. Because what's important about -- software less -- configurations for example you can have three monitors on portrait mode so you afternoon extending -- You have six displays. -- 630 inch displays. In and landscape mode that you do per pixel editing and a couple of useful program. That's an insane Canon visuals are -- is anybody making a monitor that high resolution -- the -- should be like twenty people point you. They had when he's risen 24 monitor off of -- graphic cards now that that's probably see cost a lot of money to have more pixels and LTV need to see all cities so instead he put all wealthy. LCDs the other. -- one vendor was showing they're going to be shipping a package that it cuts him vendors -- because active. One to three LCDs preparatory stance Leo kind of fit tightly the other thing and people. -- like that -- strict X eleven is it is it safe to say it's around the corner of the windows seven is here it's gonna be launched officially -- its own line to. Nice and easy to ensure we'd be delaying device graphics card at this point if somebody's on the edge for high end graphics Carter I would say wait till the end of this month and we what's the -- direct X -- is gonna bring consumers a bunch of things are gonna bring some you know the usual kinds of visual enhancements one of the coolest features is something called. Tussle at Harvard consolation and what that means is that they artist defines the the object with a item as a sort of patches. And with in the sort of patches the GPU itself says I can have more triangles and so as inclusive objectives of when he killed you don't have the this via archival. I promise pretty common among these games but that's actually really neat it's almost like creating a fractal system where it only it's actually generating -- it's actually generating -- Politics there -- crazy. Anything else the Santa from the excellent. Some efficiency stuff electrical people you foreigners here as -- are -- in parry via. And that means that drivers and let's publisher to do the stuff that drives the games we multi threaded and that will actually benefit on the -- nine games as well as dazed -- cards you'll see some improvement. Even if you're just final games vote so any other thoughts any other sort of background technologies or anything you expect to see until talking about that will perform next week. -- couple things that we'll be looking for and his authority to an animated stuff. Lot of sort of platform stuff mr. ramp up we're gonna see announcements based on the news service executed prospective standard. Both hardware as well as you know chips would that be used more for radiator for they actually expects single right and all of -- I asked a question to 100 vendor told me that with the -- the data densities are increasing. And then so yeah I think it'll help a little bit -- we will be seeing more just because we know too much faster. Hello that was it for USB three point don't actually you chips I mean -- Internet policy and easier now. So we come back with a always tells what else is -- idea I'd love to and that in order took about would you. Usually his -- Lloyd is he's the premier system builder at least that people I know -- would come back and I was -- like 500 dollar ultimate gaming machines and targeted machine integrated look. Cool all right ladies and give Lloyd case you can find more miss work it improbable insights dot com the man is brewing in his writing is fun go to the website and check it out."

" Coming up next Apple's new iPod it was out is truly the best iPod nano ever find out but first let's take a moment to thank one of our sponsors. Space you've -- a little. RPA. Hi everyone it's any I want a human and -- Squarespace the online publishing platform that makes creating any web site -- Chris this is just launched a new site pucker tool that makes -- so it's so easy to migrate your existing site over to -- The new quarter tool supports all the popular platforms and this all of your comments tags opposite end media automatically. And -- note Squarespace is the -- I'm out there -- all of it. -- saw how easy it. -- for Squarespace dot com and click on the block import tool and the logging information -- just -- platform and within moments it's all there. Even if you have a custom -- Squarespace is the URL structure of your existing site create mapping for every single host all I don't actually. It's pretty amazing picture is that when you do like your site -- your content will stay totally intact including your search engine ranking -- they've spent a long time building. The only thing that will change is the quality of your site that you've been thinking of getting your titles -- they -- this would be the perfect -- yeah. And better yet can transfer three to be -- And he -- for the paid version of Squarespace these and -- easy to get 10% of the whole life to an electric. The don't hesitate check out Squarespace dot com today."

" Let's think it's time for another website we just can't get enough yeah. Let's say that we just can't stay away from because it's too useful -- funny -- just too darn irresistible this week's arts and it even looking for any job mainstream as -- dot com -- you start sending out that old tired resonates of people on Craigslist. Interactive site that helps you build and host your wrestling plus much more. If you want printed out and send it -- to -- up every so often have personalized web address and -- to host your resume on its all you need to do send someone like. It tinker with the privacy settings and information isn't totally out there for the entire world to see. That you need to spruce up that -- main benefit of competitive advantage check out gamers today."

" So this past week Apple made a couple of announcements -- and I've hotline. To help a separate a height from the real deal speed invited Ryan Block co-founder of GD GT and former editor and gadgets to talk mark it. In in the interest of full disclosure he is my significant other thank you for coming. Thanks for -- never actually interviewed him on the show before."

" Well I'm very excited choice in the months. So the lesson on what they talked about the announcement. Well the first bit of news that they got -- there is version iTunes and iTunes nine as an extra is management -- your -- finally right it's he can actually organized the order in the pages of your apps if you haven't iPhone and iPod touch they announced a new iPod touch which is faster. I and works -- in line had -- remote. Which is nice and 64 gigabyte capacity. They -- an iPod nano I think that was kind of the show stealer hasn't had a video camera. And I've -- here today. And any special edition stainless steel iPod shuffle can take a look at that and yes absolutely -- turn on the video camera for you. Sets up a video camera that people saying it could actually be flipped killer's -- Apple seems like they really would like to go to market it's very clearly growing and it doesn't take a whole lot because they're not exactly the highest quality cameras and world. But it's not quite as good it's just not. Entirely there it doesn't have a larger image sensor the speakers not sensitive enough. I mean it's it's good to have on your right you know the camera the use of the camera that carry. But it's not going to replace somebody's property -- but it does have that one touch and you'd. Get from my experience right click any any any media that you get it and pull into iPhoto for example Mac is -- be with you that it."

" So pretty touch why didn't that would get a camera I mean a lot of people are expecting the touch would finally have a camera built into it makes perfect sense."

" It does I'm so it's actually been shown now that I'm. On the internals of the device there was a space carved out her camera. And it didn't make it in for whatever reason it didn't make it. I don't know where we're actually in no way to make it I think it's safe to assume that at some point in the future there will be an iPod touch the camera maybe in the very near future to -- meany then you know an experience for months. Probably not this year I think Apple's gonna wanna do it before the holidays this year they wanted to try to sell these iPods Christmas. Yeah I know it'll be it'll it'll more than likely -- next -- when it does happen. But I don't know if it's gonna be if we think it just you know maybe something out manufacturing made something happen with image sensors. By -- it should abandon I think we can pretty much say clearly. If shipment to --"

" I think next -- gonna show we're gonna have the guys who might fix it come on actually show us that little gap where the camera looks like it -- Yes so supposedly on until it."

" There is actually BP an iPod. An iPod touch will be day was actually pulled apart and had a camera in it. And the internals of the board are the exact same internals of that new device. So it's clear that that that leak in your kind of definitively prove that there was a camera and at some point in the got taken out we don't know."

" Interesting so anything about the shuffles of -- and colors or they just exactly the same there."

" Colors in a special edition is four gigs -- has the stainless steel exterior urged her on the back of the iPod iPod time."

" to drop the pricing of the the classic iPod as well. Why do you think they're sticking around with an iPod classic is just is twice."

" It's still selling units and -- you know people are still buying -- and they also increased the storage capacity bad. I mean I think it's pretty clear that the iPod touch is now the kind of flagship. We're a media player and they know that it's gonna gonna take away some of the cells the classic. But I mean you know it they want -- you certainly -- you're buying applications."

" So I -- showing off this in HD recently and obviously has a long way to go to try and catch up to Apple what are they have to do it to me to catch up to the iPod."

" You know I'm not sure this scene or does he needs to he's ever gonna be able to fully catch up an Apple just has so much of the market of 75% mean that's. That's beyond monopoly -- mean that is you know they they basically completely new at this point. I'm not sure that the -- is ever gonna be able to get to fifty or 60% or or even that twenty or thirty but what they can do is can you continue to make really good device. And and that's all anybody can do. And and the more great devices that accompanies me. The more chipping away there will be of Apple's market share so you know competition breeds innovation and it would be great if their residency in HD two and -- HD stream. A lot of other devices that hackers operate and make. That you know we continue to innovate on top of what's are out there I also think that being on the Mac would help either help them. I really couldn't -- partially house to do with their subscription music models of the DR and there aren't any big they can port that it's not impossible you know act Apple ported their DRM to PC in the started can you remember when media outlets but. It's it's not impossible idea. It's just somebody at Microsoft estimates that decision in they have not decided to do it it's I think it's hurt."

" Thanks so much we're camp on -- work online and it GD GT or we can actually Czech government proposed the all the gadgets that I have and it user IG GGG dot com site and thanks so much."

" Well coming up next we have more of your questions but first it's time now and whenever sponsors."

" Daddy dot com. If you wanna make an impact online godaddy.com has what you -- dot com names as -- in the dollar and 99 plus -- plus sustained fast and easy web site builders and much more. " We just got an email from low writes it I had a great job working at a graphic design firm animal can for some kind of project management software may be something went pace of multiple users can log onto it needs to be cheap. For if possible and by the way our office runs all Macs is a big Mac friendly would be great."

" Well there are a lot of different options out there for collaboration in my personal favorite is base camp. We're actually trying to set up base camp to manage all protects planning -- to do that very plans for differently sized organizations for the best deal is the basic setup. -- dollars a month to use it for small groups -- got fifteen projects three gigabytes of storage and unlimited users that might work out well for you muster uploading a lot of different media. With your design firm. Another similar web app is go plan which runs a less expensive to get an echo plan app dot com the starter plan is ten dollars a month to get fifteen projects -- users. Fifteen collaborators and ten gigabytes of storage not really sure what the difference between users and collaborator uses is just people McCain."

" It France's -- basically difference being getting shot not getting -- you liberated the I don't think it works with collaboration software. Clever cures for people who work with the Nazis in any case."

" It could. Net users are what and that's -- Yeah well -- I don't think users existed back. That's a little a lot of -- open source project management software as well like red line open crotch open prize project -- products. Bet it goes could be helpful to you and also they're afraid however I think having a web based tool. Is in this day and age is probably going to be announcement -- for -- Redmond is would be used over and projects like open source tunnel different platforms as a lot of different varieties can get out there."

" You can also do really old school and use Google opened docs do a spreadsheet that successful everybody's you mean like how how we do things around here we spreadsheet fees that dock. -- spreadsheet. We do -- what I got for I get frustrated writer --"

" Mr. Ryan with a very practical question he writes. I was present help court as an MP3 collection is there any application can scanned my computer and an identified duplicates creating a list of all the songs on the machine. But also like it says Meeks is to be able to have the -- re organize. The folder and file structure of online music I would love it my music was organized by artist album track but that is nowhere near how it is now Kevin in California. Well -- you know for most. People that use iTunes or Windows Media Player Winamp something that actually does make it topped how they structure of your music. Which illegal you have the track information all of -- for what that's saying yeah if you wanna get up at -- information is a lot of different kinds of software out there on. Tuna is actually my favorite pieces of software it's not free it's a little more expensive it's 2099. For the lifetime license and then. 1999 for yearly license. And that will actually take all industries adults got -- it metadata. You know at the track information you can tell you when your hard -- in the town lake seeking go to their concert."

" A threat to giggle but we can also simulate it -- problems it just email us because they've launched the same places we once would you like track down the CEO making fix it."

" Yeah. That's kind of funny. But you know even the inexpensive for that for those features I think it's not my -- or thirty bucks lifetime right. So you know you're gonna if you keep using it most people seem to keep using it probably spend thirty dollars right. I actually you know I think it would be more of a one time thing for someone like me. Like I I used it wants and that's pretty much it because now I've you know tracks off of things -- music or iTunes or place where they're have a limited to -- and back in the day we were all you know downloading away. It's it's quite. You know their I'll download it away and burning CD is office stuff you know we -- a lot of tracks that were named properly and that we're just Canon lake. Mumble jumbled added together and actually helps like put everything into the next order and give that manage it and there. Or you -- to see he's just written all over it. Which is its own minds to do that as well -- I would ever to alternative to dot net to see options they had that where free versions of tuneup and it came across I eat brains. I've heard of the program before but never had a chance. To really check it out it's open source and free to use and that's pretty awesome is it basically do the same things through them. It does basically do the same thing as tuna it's got. Not as much functionality from what I can tell but it didn't look into it too too much the one downside doesn't don't think it works and snow leopard hey I upgraded finally. We're gonna okay I -- like fifty gigabytes of space back on my laptop. But for the space I was pretty awesome but that's another story on media monkey which was formally sound TV is another great option for PC users on it'll import from -- could files clean them up. Fix those ID three tags and put everything together and that nice organized file structure you're looking for. I'm plus you can even use it to sync with your portable devices like your iPod that's. Yeah and it's Allen has been around for a really long time and I like including stuff especially in kind of scraping clean things up as well that's nice yes so it's highly rated and -- dot com. On the -- ten users remember that you can seek out duplicates failing to file and then find duplicates and make a list of all the duplicate files and your iTunes library -- and so it's it looks a little tedious had to go through and delete all those duplicates if you have a lot of fun but it works -- back."

Good getting dot com makes it easy to customize your own virtual dedicated server two is one of three popular plans are selector on Linux or windows server with all the plan options you need. And be sure to check out revision3.com. Slash GoDaddy for all the Tekzilla GoDaddy deals and it's. Get your piece of the Internet at godaddy.com."

" Pretty crazy validates these. Cool. People -- Veronica -- to hope you will learn all about home theater check out he can do. You Roger -- will be the top five feet happy about what the properly it was thought he'd walk out. It's all about this -- the Blu-ray movies -- off. New episodes patent agent available every Tuesday by the East Asian guy. All about this -- It's got. This it right here they listening port assignment that's it was inappropriate -- we can give you the stud finder you can point to beat him in hand to say I've found by. Air headed back better. Somebody they. Everybody watching we live on your questions except about that binders that even. Even Ellis Tekzilla revision3.com. Tech help product reviews how to use you asked if won't do it actually he would use that -- reviews just. -- But we need you to email us don't be shy thing is -- that might -- questions you Tekzilla at revision3.com."

" Even better senate that it it -- think -- have an average of all your friends and family it's your month on action. Keep the fifteen seconds outlets YouTube and that -- in you know if you question in the subject line. It is always it -- for the entry about com platform. Ideas or comments about it and of itself and yes not for watching -- better Norton front about a month to -- that you've been watching stud finder. Or Tekzilla."

" We get a wistful look from view it could be a wistful. --"

" A it it's. No."

" All the bad news soldier on I don't I don't wanna I wanna tell on the we -- his image is gonna treatment tail and then an animated -- Now -- that's what happening in the bloopers and battery."

" Polaroid camera home theater definitely cool. Product you know. Don't usually watch HD agent this week -- change do it yeah. It strictly to the site like tally -- and also Blu-ray movies he they have well. Three. Are you crazy ready HDR. They don't get it yell it out loud crack of things that they could -- yours like. Daria a viewer Brad there. Under my private parties and ultimately get that thing in my ear and -- capitalist side."

Consider this a vote for MediaMonkey.

And a vote for laptop encryption and TrueCrypt. If you didn't encrypt your data, everything else you do is irrelevant to make your laptop safe. Stolen laptops being recovered are the very rare exception, even with 'Lo Jack' and remote access type applications, not the rule. The sad truth is that in 99.99999 percent of laptop thefts you will not get your laptop back. At least be smart and protect your data...unless you have absolutely nothing you value on your laptop.

Loyd should be on more often. In fact, since Extreme Tech was a sack of ignorant doofuses (doofusi?) and let them both go (thus rendering Extreme Tech absolutely useless for anything of importance, which is why I don't bother to make their name a link) , Revision3 should snap up both Loyd Case and Jason Cross and have them doing a hardcore PC hardware show.

I was disappointed that in the opening you teased us but actually did NOT tell us where to buy the best all-natural jerky

Its always fun watching Bearonica be a potty mouth in the outtakes. There's just something about a sweet 'girl next door' type cussing. I bet she's fun to take to a really bad movie.

Nit for Patrick,

The NSA is not in Washington. its in suburban Maryland. Ft Meade in specific.
Which is next to the suburb Laurel, MD.

its the DC equivalent of saying that Foster City is in San Francisco.

Ft Meade is outside the Beltway.

But in part, Patrick is right, no one knows what they can do. I would not bet that they can't break TrueCrypt. They sure can throw cubic dollars of hardware and the best cryptographers in the country at it.

If you have your data in the cloud, there is no need to have encrypted systems.

In reply to computoman:
If you have your data in the cloud, there is no need to have encrypted systems.

Unless your password and other access credentials can be found on your hard drive. Or unless you have enough information on your hard drive that the thief can answer laughable security questions like "what's the name of your favorite dog" and be rewarded with your access credentials.

Merely saving your data in the cloud is no guarantee that its secure.
