Acer's 10.1 inch Iconia Tablet feels pretty good. HP's TouchPad has a release date and a price. Did Apple steal iOS 5's Wi-Fi Sync? And, oh, boy are we getting excited about building low price PCs using Bulldozer and AM3+

Matt's got a not-so-fast DSL line, can't get faster broadband and has three OS X machines he wants to upgrade. A single 4 GB Lion download will take him days. He wonders, "Do you imagine that there would be a physical copy of Lion or a way to copy the Lion download to removable media? I can't justify cutting the rest of my family off from the Internet for so long." Short answer: No. Longer answer: We've got some ideas, like make your own Lion boot disk. (Thansk EggFreckles!) As for managing offices full of Macs... we can't believe the Lion install is tied to your Apple ID!

James is looking to get his charity on by donating a couple of laptops and needs "to wipe the systems of any old data, and speed them up as much as possible." He's up for "wiping the drives completely and buying the necessary software to help bring out a little extra speed" but we have an option that will cost nothing -and- should speed up the machines: Ubuntu. (We've got tips for speeding up the existing Windows install, too!)
