Congrats to Neha on her first successful PC Build! Woo Hoo! I love DVD Shrink! I always used it to copy movies onto my hard drive so I could watch them on my laptop when I go on vacation without having to lug the original DVD around with me. I haven't used it in a long time, though--it's nice to see it's still around. Great show, as usual! :D

I really have to ask, how is it DIY? From what i saw the show just said, buy a nice flash drive, or throw it in an otter box.?

Of course it's DIY . First you have to buy a flash drive, then you buy the enclosure. Once you have the required components it's time to get dirty. Open the enclosure, put in the flash drive and then the most crucial part, close the enclose and your done. BTW DIY is loose term, it can practically mean anything, heck if you did it by yourself then its DIY :P
In the future, when you film something like building a computer it would be nice to see what your doing inside case because the show gets kinda boring otherwise. Other than that great show :)

I think the "build a PC" segment was a good idea. However, in a future episode I think they should cover what to look for when actually BUYING all of this stuff. That way, the person building it can ensure everything they bought is compatible.

I agree, though I suppose they weren't really driving for a thorough documentation of the process -- but then again, I'm not sure that a quick gloss like that really serves any purpose.
This does bring up my one little complain with the show (which I otherwise quite like and watch regularly): it's just a bit too cutesy-produced for my liking. You might want to do fewer things per episode, and delve into them a bit deeper.
And ease up a wee bit on the silliness.
If you're trying to broaden the demographic from narrowly targeting 20 to 30-something male geeks, I think that's great, but remember where your bread is buttered.

I remember when I first dissected my first PC... I have been upgrading ever since...
Recently I forgot to unplug my enclosure from the power source and I plugged in the harddrive... Sparks me... Then I realized what I had done...
I lost a harddrive... a reformatted one with no important data but it still hurt...

The building a PC section was ok. Great that Neha is getting in there, though got she looses geek points for having Pat help her. Sorry, but on my first PC build I was completely by myself.

I have to say, the flash drive segment was really disappointing. I really expected something elaborate, and all we got was "buy a nice flash drive, and throw it into an otterbox". C'mon Pat! Throw on the kilt and get a little more hardcore than that!
Hell, I even got my mother (who's not all that tech savvy) watching the podcast, and even she made a comment that she learned more from watching TSS. They try to cover so much in such a short amount of time, and its killing the show.
