Hey everyone, I'm looking for the best program that does virtual desktops for windows XP. I've seen it on Linux and on OS X, and it makes me jealous:mad:.

Win XP: "Up" directory short-cut

In today's "Episode 139 - Vista: Where's the Up Key?" Veronica showed the Alt+"up" short-cut to quickly move to parent directory.

In XP there is even easier short-cut. Just press the "Backspace". I have not tried it in Vista.

Advice Wanted: PS3 & Sony

Are you sure you are entering the password correctly? Just, it took me several attempts to enter a key correctly - which was also complex and long. It's pretty difficult because the PS3 doesn't display what you enter (unlike other wi-fi devices I have used) and can be difficult switching case at the correct time on that virtual keyboard.

Agreed. From my understanding, they are the same type of chips as you'd find in a flash drive, just much higher quality in order to allow for fast read/write times. That also explains the price jump between a 16GB SSD vs a flash drive or maybe even SDHC cards by now.

This song is the musical equivalent of a trojan. Sure, at first it seems harmless enough, cute even, but then it takes over your brain and it's damn near impossible to get rid of it. I wonder if there's any way to reinstall your mind. On a side note, I think it should be the new Rickroll.

Off the top of my head I'd suggest the Dell XPS M1330. it's a little over your weight limit and battery life is low by your standards , but its also dirt cheap compared to the air and envy. You get what you pay for. Windows machines dont usually have the battery time that macs do, so im gonna go out on a limb and say the envy's 3.75 is probably the best you're gonna get

I'm not a fan of Apple computers in the least bit and will probably never buy one new , but why isn't the macbook under consideration? It's light, has decent battery time, and has classic Apple styling. Also, the black casing is nearly unscratchable.

You never mentioned formatting it. Most drives come unformatted. Hell even if you did format it, just right click My Computer, click manage, and check if the drive shows up under Disk Management. If it does then you need to format it or it has bad sectors, if it doesn't well that's a very bad thing. Either the hard drive's mainboard is damaged or something is wrong with the computer's hardware or software.
