Make a Wireless Hotspot using your Windows or OS X Laptop. While OS X has built tools within the Sharing settings under "System Preference" to accomplish the task in Windows 7 you're better off using Connectify a free tool that makes setting up an Ad-Hoc wireless network quick and easy.
Keeping an active PC quiet isn't as difficult as your would think. The simplest way is to replace all the stock fans that ship with your PC and replace them with larger, super efficient, and quiet fans. A few of the makers we like include Artic Cooling and Zalman. Veronica is a music fiend and loves getting recommendations and discovering new music. She regularly scrobbles songs on her last.fm channel. Other tools she enjoys using are Rdio, Spotify, Grooveshark, and Mog. Other options recommended to Veronica by viewers can be seen on her Google+ post.
Tom and Kerry, two of our favorite coworkers, are looking to stream audio all over their house, so we had to talk Sonos vs. Airport Express. vs. Squeezebox, what we like about each one (like using Sonos to stream different tunes to every Play:3 in the house, or the same one to all of 'em in Party Mode!) and where we see room for improvement!
