Last week we showed how to upgrade hard drives and RAM in your old laptop. This week we take a look at doing a clean OS install. Linux makes it very easy, but the process isn't much different for Windows 7 and 8 either. Once you're up and running we give a few tips on getting drivers working and a great place to grab new software.

Bill was nice enough to send in this tip: Windows Home Server 2011 will not backup GPT formatted drives. Microsoft points out this limitation in the release notes. Keep that in mind if you currently use WHS 2011!
