It's that time of the year again! Black Friday is upon us and we give you the heads up on shopping online, plus HDTVs!
Buy Cheap HDMI Cables! Black Friday Sucks, but we'll take the online sales and deals! Unboxing a silent pc from Puget Systems. Patrick's obsessed with Timothy Ferris's new book "The 4-Hour Chef." Get Navigon or Streetpilot apps from Garmin half price! Looking for an incredibly well put together PC? Check out Puget Systems Serenity Pro. What flashlight brand(s) do we like? There's a pretty long list!
Hope you are spending this weekend with your friends and loved ones.
Screw Black Friday, shop online! Amazon, Newegg, Apple, and tons of other retailers are offering online deals this whole week. Don't miss time with your family just to save $3 on the latest widget. See TheBlackFriday.com and BlackFriday.GottaDeal.com/Online for other aggregated deals. Have a favorite Black Friday tracking site? Post it on Google+!
Christian tweeted asking for a good HDTV between $600-1000. This gave Robert a chance to give his recommendations for just about everything HD. From HDTVs to projectors, HDMI switches to Blu-ray players...it's all there! See the segment for his entire list.
We run down a quick checklist of what you should look for in a new TV. What resolution should the HDTV display? What Blu-rays really show off the what the TV can do? Where to get reasonably priced cables? Watch the segment for all this and more!
Puget Systems sent us their Serenity Pro...and this thing is impressive. It's a full-blown gaming rig that hits about 20dBA--just above the sound of a pin drop. We'll have a full review of the machine in the near future, but we're already impressed.
It turns out that Robert and Patrick are absolutely obsessed with flashlights...you could easily spot them from space with their arsenal. They each have a few favorite manufacturers and websites to get their torches: check out Surefire, LED Lenser, Streamlight, Energizer, and DealsExtreme.
