Zombie dot-coms

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010 – running time 03:53
Not all dot-coms died in the early 2000s, some limp along, barely alive. Don't let them bite you.

Oh Kozmo.com. I remember the night you brought me A ham sandwich, a copy of Star Wars, a Scientific American and a bottle of Listerine. That night was special. We will never see it's like again.

Yes we will never see Webvan, or Flooze, or many many other doctors that populated our imaginations and our address bars in the late 90s and early 21st century. But some of these once giants of yore are not as dead as you might think.

We skulked deep into the back alleys of the Internet and found some once venerable dot-com paragons sleeping under cardboard and begging for logins, but still very very much alive. Find out what zombie dot-coms still roam the Web in this week's episode.

And don't forget to click on discussions at Tom's Top 5 to answer the stupid trivia question for a chance to win the hardback edition of Daniel Suarez's Freedom TM.
