"A sequel to Richard Kelly's cult hit Donnie Darko will begin shooting this month, Screen Daily reports.

Titled S. Darko, the film takes place eight years after the events of the first film and follows Samantha Darko (Daviegh Chase), the younger sister of the first movie's lead character, as she travels across America with her best friend Corey. On the road trip the pair start to witness strange visions.

Chris Fisher (Nightstalker) will direct the film. Kelly, who wrote and directed 2001's Donnie Darko, is not involved in the sequel.

"I am a great admirer of Richard Kelly's film and hope to create a similar world of blurred fantasy and reality," said Fisher.

Donnie Darko starred Jake Gyllenhaal as a teenager who, after a near death experience, is told by a giant bunny that the world will end in 28 days.

Fisher added: "Donnie's not in but there are meteorites and rabbits."

S. Darko begins production on May 18. Fox has already secured North American distribution rights for the film.

"A big screen adaptation of Buck Rogers is in the works.

Nu Image/Millennium Films has acquired the film rights to the franchise about a US Army pilot who wakes up in the 25th century, according to Variety.

The studio will make a live-action movie, with Sin City director Frank Miller one of the names in line to take the helm.

Buck Rogers has appeared in comic strips, movies, radio shows and TV series since making his debut in two novellas by Philip Francis Nowlan in 1928. "

Oh...dear....God...

Sorry if you think the other thread should live on but its pretty far back and it was random rants here and there, So i wanted to make a fresh post.

So this is not about who happens to be attending comic con, its about the hotels you have booked to stay at, See if any fan's are near each other.

Share cab fee's(if needed for longer distance hotels) and you know hang out with other fans.

My first hotel is pretty far away but i might still find another a little closer, I did book a room for the 22-28th at The Ramada Plaza Hotel Circle South, but like i said that might change.

Im skipping my weekly movie this week since i work friday and im tierd come my day off saturday but i hope to hear it is over all a fun film

If this turns out to be true I will be extremely happy. I already own the original version, but to be able to play through it again on my PSP will be great. This will also be a good opportunity for people to play it who have not had the chance.

He made tons of money with the Pirates trilogy so I'm thinking Universal will give him a huge budget and from the "I think we'll go right up to the edge with the Little Sisters. I don't want to soften it to the point where the core audience feels betrayed" quote it seems that he's at least trying to stay true to the original story.

But who knows, it could go either way, but with Werbinski directing, I'm not too worried since I absolutely loved the Pirates trilogy.

I would be interested to hear what Jeff, Dan and Alex think about this though.

This one has been on my radar since the first clips and screenshots that I saw.. The full trailer is great, but it doesn't mention the story or plot, right? That's what is drawing me to the game more than ever... Just mention "female protagonist" and "conspiracy" and I'm there - thoughts of Beyond Good and Evil immediately flood my mind... Can this be the next game to floor me? From EA, no less? Time will tell..
