We adventure out in the Heavy Rain to see if it changes video games forever. Does Kevin Smith's Cop Out revive the buddy picture? Plus, fun with sticky notes, inspired by Quentin Tarantino!
For the first time, the patron saint of geeks, Kevin Smith has directed a movie that he didn't write. Does the throw-back 80's buddy-cop movie Cop Out, recall the fun of Lethal Weapon and Beverly Hills Cop? Or are Alex, Dan, and Jeff too old for this sh*t?
One of the most tense scenes in recent movie history is the bar scene in Inglourious Basterds, in which several characters are engaged in a game of Guess-the-Celebrity. Alex, Dan, and Jeff try their hand at the same game.
For months, whenever the idea of more mature storytelling in video games has come up, the guys have referenced the PS3 exclusive, Heavy Rain as the best hope to push the medium forward. Now, with the release of the game, they guys finally discover whether it lives up to the lofty expectations.
