TRS goes to PAX! We play Gears of War 2, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, and many more. Plus, is Alan Ball's Towelhead offensive? And which game caused the 360 to sell out in Japan?
This week in Movies:
Alex, Dan, and Jeff take an early look at American Beauty scribe, Alan Ball's new drama, Towelhead. Not quite the feel-good hit of the summer, but is it worth seeking out?.
Gus Van Sant's upcoming biopic, Milk, has a stirring new trailer in theaters. The guys watch to see if Sean Penn conform's to Robert Downey Jr's Tropic Thunder acting rule.
This week in Video Games:
The newest entry into the popular JRPG Tales of series, Tales of Vesperia, is a bona-fide hit in Japan. Alex, Dan, and Jeff give it a whirl to see if it compares to Xbox 360 JRPG standouts, Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata.
The Fall gaming explosion is about to hit. Fresh off PAX, the guys take a look forward to some of the biggest titles of the holiday season.
Plus:
Hours of hands-on gaming goodness at the world's largest public gaming festival compressed into one epic segment? How do the TRS guys do it? Find out as they take a spin through the Penny Arcade Expo!

"Best flipping opening EVER!!
was tokenuser even watching the same thing as us?? the green screen challenge was no different then anyother time except it had motion. this is the simplest of old school "blue screen" effects prior to green screen. There is no way that steve wouldn't be able to pull this off. Not a challenge. sometimes this guys comments is less then intelligent.
and although the intro was only predictable from the standpoint that most of us caught on to what they were spoofing, I doubt anyone really saw it coming that Dan would be inserted for the transformation.
It was just awesome. I actually thought this time around even alex did better at acting.
Alex :comparing periods to boners is so not accurate. "Wet Dreams" are to guys what periods are to women. just as messy, unpreditable and when were are younger far more then 4 days a month."
You make reading hurt.
