Yet another adaptation of Sherlock Holmes? Can Elementary bring anything new to the table?
Between Benedict Cumberbatch's brilliant BBC version, and Robert Downey Jr's action-packed film version, Sherlock Holmes has proven to be very fertile ground for reinvention the last few years. Now there is a new American TV version starring Jonny Lee Miller as the eccentric detective and, in a bold casting move, Lucy Liu as his sidekick Watson. Does Elementary find a way to make Holmes fresh yet again, or is it too much of a good thing? Alex, Dan, and Jeff deduce the answer from the given data.
