TV Show: Bullshit

It's a great show, but it started to get worse somewhere in season 4. This show at its worst, though, is still damn good. I haven't watched any of the new season yet, but the latest episode should be a a good one.

They are going to do an episode about their own show! They are planning to do it as the series finale -- The Bullshit of Bullshit. It's a great idea, because even though I agree with them nearly every subject they cover, they sometimes get lazy and lapse into the same crap (omission, ad hominem attacks, appeals to emotion, et cetera) their opponents so often often do.

The show, or rather its positions, should be taken seriously though. They make very good points, provide evidence, and almost always have very intelligent, educated, logical positions, even though they may seem a little crazy at first glance.

I've played it a couple of times and while I think it is great game I don't think it will be an online shooter that I play regularly. It is very cool that it is free but the circumstances that facilitate the necessity for a in browser game are not very frequent occurrences in my life, so I will just stick with the more fleshed out online shooters that I love (COD4 and TF2).

I would venture to say The Shining is the greatest film ever made, and the trailer was, as you said, "epic". The way the music cued in at the end; nearly orgasmic. I've been itching to watch it again, and I think I just might.

Kubrick, quite simply, is a genius. I haven't seen all of his films, but I've seen enough to make the claim that, in my opinion, he's the best. The only film he's made that I didn't enjoy, was, ironically enough (at least compared to the previous posts), 2001: A Space Odyssey. It just wasn't able to grab my attention. Maybe I should give it another shot.

The West Wing

Forgive my preamble. At the time I watched the West Wing Australia was going through the 'John Howard years' (our Prime Minister from 1996-2007), I won't go into a diatribe about his time in office, lets just say I was very disheartened that he could basically do anything and then fear monger and buy his way to winning the next election when it next rolled around. Bush was also president by the time I started watching, and let’s just say that the ramifications were not only felt in America.

For me the West Wing was enjoyable escapism, I suppose you could say the premise of the show gave me hope, even though I think I ultimately stayed for the characters, I believe shows that put a more ‘Utopian’ (I am not suggesting that a Democratic run white house is in any way ‘perfect’ irl) slant on human society as a whole (Star Trek for example) can be very appealing to people, myself included.

To actually answer your question, yes, I think the shows leftward leanings are sometimes very heavy handed.

I actually love this show...it's kind of a mix of all my favorite types of shows (excluding scifi) because they mix very cool action sequences, comedy, some drama but not too much with spot on writing. It's also kind of educational? Well they teach you some cool shit anyway like turning a can of air upside down to freeze and break a lock.

Anyway, I really like the acting even though I don't like at all how they made the Fiona character fake an American accent but at least they explained why she did it unlike shows like House where they higher a British person to play an American.

I am actually not much of a tv watcher, I do watch tv shows every now and then but even the big shows like lost or heroes I couldn't care less about however with Burn Notice I will watch it while it airs which is a huge deal with me as I haven't watched anything as it airs for a few years now ever since my life was enhanced by the greatness that is tivo.
