This week in Video Games:
Alex, Dan, and Jeff have spent their holiday break playing games like World of Warcraft, Halo 3, and Stuntman: Ignition.
Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3 have both elevated the rythmn game genre to new heights in 2007. But which do the guys think deserves the crown as raddest?

"I'm not saying Jumper is gonna suck. The trailer has me interested, and I'll probably end up seeing in the theater. I just find it odd that in a year where there will be a ton of great films, genre or otherwise being released that Jumper, a film coming out in February is on the top of your too see list.
True, the new Hulk movie could suck just as much as it might be great, but you could say the same exact thing about Jumper."
lol, let it go man, just let it go... i've been reading the past 3-4 pages of you and dan quoting each other back and forth. he ain't excited for those other movies than he is for jumper. granted, i myself am not looking forward to jumper as much as he is, but hey, different strokes for different folks i guess.

already posted my thoughts on TWBB here. but I just wanted to say, that although I usually relate most closely to Dan's reactions to movies, in this case, it was great hearing Jeff put my feelings into words, especially about Day-Lewis' performance.
And in case nobody has mentioned it, there will be a performance in NYC this coming week of Johnny Greenwood's Popcorn Superhet Receiver, which was adapted for the score of TWBB.

"...maybe it's one of those movies that makes you think: "If I could do that, I would-"
-"
thats why i am so psyched to see this, if i could teleport, Jesus, let me just say you would hear about a huge string of robberies (mostly from EB games' and apple stores) and i would visit California everyday, goto Australia, and rob me some banks. i can't do any of this sadly but hey i can dream right:)

"fyi...
Persepolis is out and was released in 2007 so that can't be a movie I'm looking forward to in 2008.
The Incredible Hulk could suck as much as it could be great-- the director of Unleashed and Transporter 2 does not sell me...
I'm super psyched for Rambo (althought that too could easily suck), Wall-E, Batman, Where The Wild Things Are, the new charlie kaufmann movie, cloverfield even-- BUT...there's just something about Jumper that really has me pumped...what more can I say...;)"

"Okay, I'm watching this site more or so because I'm a movie geek above anything, so maybe that is why I think what I do.
But I can vouch for atleast a few of those movies on there, the ones you bolded.
Persepolis - I saw this back in September and its easily the best animated film of the year if not one of the best films this year. Just an absolutely beautifully made and wonderful coming of age story.
The Incredible Hulk - Edward Norton, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Liv Tyler, William Hurt...that kick ass cast directed by the guy that did the transporter films? At the very least it'll be very entertaining for two hours. More so than Anakin teleporting around the world.
John Rambo - I've seen a few mintues of this and it's just the dumb balls to the wall action film straight out of the 80's that it looks like. I thought Rocky Balboa was a great movie and I have no reason to believe Stallone will let us down with this one.
Speed Racer - I'll be the first to admit I'm not completely excited about this movie. As an experience though, I'll probably be there in the theater for this.
Wall*E - You really don't have a heart or a soul if you can't find any interest for this...probably both. I saw fifteen minutes of this movie last month, scenes from different parts of the movie and I have to say it was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life. You instantly fall in love with the character of Wall*E, it's E.T. for a new generation really. This will be Pixar's masterpiece."

Jeff, just wanted to agree with you on the things that you said about Daniel Day Lewis. About the Theater versus Film acting. Although I haven't yet seen "There Will Be Blood". But thanks for bringing that up. So shanks.
