" An easy fix it at. Sort of like Spike Jones but unfortunately we picked everybody put."

" The folks."

" God similar background this week."

" Yes you know well things are background as Dennis Miller no -- how well everybody who wants to rule the world that yeah yeah. Does this week and so we -- Never heard any of the mouth -- we've got a stacked. Stacked it show -- that. One and Dan."

" Dance -- is mating games of the year uncharted two U."

" And one of our three most anticipated movies of the year where the wild things are as well as some court TV stuff so that I heard also sat earlier and there's the beautiful up -- and I'm --"

" This thing in movies we're talking about. Where the wild things. Our. It's based on nickname extremely popular prolific. And possibly multi award winning I would assume that. Children's illustrated novel by Maurice Sendak that. On I think -- everyone reads in there. You've growing up my things required reading it's like. It's like To Kill a Mockingbird for her pretend that we've got the that's not instant kill a mockingbird -- Vietnam. And it's not it's systematically -- is -- new movie is is written it written coloring by it Spike Jones indeed haggard is -- is also in a prolific writers and -- heartbreaking work of staggering genius. We're we brought him up. I act with that that he was being played for a -- I mean go. Com. And did pass and swipe sensor exits out being done not the best adaptation and -- long movie that was in production for a while I think."

" When you actually walked into Cheney years ago there was a it's gallery. That is happening on on glossy and again I had I just stumbled and it was all production stills. From where the wild things are outstanding hand drawn. Design news and stuff some more data into dozens --"

" Yes and reportedly problematic. Yeah I'm supposed to come out in 2000 in is -- not a year or two ago. Bomb and it went from one city into another. So one of those I don't know where I started out on but yes apparently -- a lot of issues with earlier cuts into adult to child like thing anyway. It's about a young. Young man that actor's name is max records this isn't enough access to care for stereo -- I am I'm back on so young max. Runs away from home. And much alike got Alice in wonderland or was revised winds up in this. Fantasy fantasy world and hounded by. I'll creatures created by Jim Henson went for our younger viewers. Which is crazy that I think that they might not know -- I -- Jim Henson is behind the movie is -- seriously and Anderson not. Changing music company right and -- reasons not aligned with us and yes yes. But -- they are behind the Muppets. Movies and TV show and Sesame Street processing street fragile rock which these are burying these creatures are very similar to those. Big things and that --"

" Armenia you haven't mentioned any of the other more realistic puppetry projects that they've been associated with over time. Which was in preceding days they were sort of the go to guys to create creatures that you couldn't black friends that I believe in job. I mean that's the kind of right right. That -- I just completely. Is there when I was just thinking what's aesthetically. That these thing's fallen in seamless and I think that we grew up went."

" Like fragile front Iraq you can -- in the other the other stuff and -- wow there's a whole group of kids in struggling his book but never grew up with the heads and stuff now I think I mean there aren't that color okay. No it's anything that let's talk about the movie shall we yes. So -- this around you mention a comic -- and yeah that this over all other things was nothing your nowhere most excited for gas now you've seen it. I have."

" When president canyon -- and better and why com. And impossibly high expectations for this film and it's. There's a lot to like I I like the movie they didn't achieve the greatness that I hoped for. With with all I had invested into me in the scenes we -- economy this has something to -- the fact that I saw so much of it before I saw that. But I did. It just didn't achieve them. -- fellows that I expected. Com there's a lot of wonderful things about. Being a cut that kid being a child. A lot of wonderful. Moments. Of of vulnerability. Which you don't often find in films and it captures that sense of of all those crazy emotions and that. Volatility that you have when you're young boy particularly that kind of those wild swings from region energy to sadness and fear. And does that really really well. Ironically I think I light. The period before we get to the island to better than any of the stuff that happens on the island. I don't know why that is I think it's all true or not I was emotionally swept away by some of that interactions he has his long in the beginning and when we get to that. It's it's a very dark film it's a very dark total. Good place that is set and -- wish I had felt a little more eight --"

" Yeah I IA I I agree. I was a lot of what you said I I kind of feel like. I easy anything that was different and Israel are -- I'm feeling there wasn't any there was. As. But I walked out of the movie feeling exactly how I felt about an -- before I walked into the movie that's true as far as how much of it I've seen an -- and I don't think that's. Just because I've seen so much I think it's because they're saying that and had said he he feared was. That the trailer basically explains all of what happens in the movies -- emotional there's there's nothing. There's no emotional state that is any different than an emotional state to -- and trailer so it's sort of like. You know it is gorgeous it's it's a joy to see this book that I loved as a child. Represented in in film and the way they did it was. Spectacular. You know and and there's a lot to love about the movie it's just that it almost feels like. I went inside short film. And it and I walked out I was a browser that cold twenty minute -- just was this was unarmed fifteen minutes and in it was an -- thing. -- scene like there was saying marry you can use."

" I heard both you guys. And I gorgeous -- ninth two. Enjoy the new openings sequences much more and ends and reality much more than the fantastical stuff. Mom and it. Amid an ambassador reiterated a lot of what I said it back at comic con after seeing resolved because. There was so many things especially the opening sequence that reminded me. Of the emotions that I had that I only had as a child that I never had since then that I've completely forgotten."

" About my -- quick things -- I got choked up at the beginning."

" Because his long does what you said your mom did which is a write down his -- half and I got choked up thinking on your child."

" Yeah that was pretty special -- that there are many -- that even in that sequence there was a shot."

" From under the table looking up at the mom and that was like oh yeah. When -- when you're when I was always -- a little nooks and crannies and everything was looking up. Debt -- just -- my mind I was at home sheep like. And -- feeling of joy of getting that other kids play with you in the neck going wrong. -- having older siblings in resonate in need in a way with me -- and then I had never would have expected. Com and I also want to say that visually. In -- this movie in the hands of any other great filmmaker alike Tim Burton and -- hey Terry Gilliam we would've seen. Germany this expression and stick a wonderful production design and -- think about Sleepy Hollow. For instance in the hollow it's gorgeous my it has gotten very stylish design look. In here it's just the forest it's a very Monday Wade's. Why it -- even warm. Special and and modern because we had these -- Spike Jones type -- it to create that. Wonderfully minimal cinema time naturalistic cinematographer and and and -- is I'm just a little bit out of specialness and those creatures and once in awhile some weird structures. Time and I thought that was really off an incredible achievement but I was really bored. And a very important let's say it's really took him -- dust -- on. Okay well. You know it's it's it's where we're getting close to Halloween. And postponed moving there is today and horror film coming up that I'm shorten any of you have heard about. Or maybe you've seen it's it's really become brilliant marketing campaign many come from quite phenomenon did you this incredible marketing community just mentioned. -- movies caught paranormal activity. On and -- and that what they -- to release has been so the deal is it's it's a little big filming I was made for 11000 dollars and it's a lot like this Blair Witch project for years ago. Where -- Blair went on like and I didn't and I'm not only in terms of -- all shot on video and it feels as if it's just real thing that actually happened. -- but also have been a very viral let's stick marketing campaign. And really spreading through word of mouth right on I saw the movie and a week or so ago. And I felt like there's no way that we can review this movie without ruining the experience for others because it's in this so depending upon the atmosphere in which. You're seeing and hearing about and all that stuff -- you went on suddenly isn't well I did. I'm here with -- without -- and and and we wanna take."

" Real cares -- not spoil anything and I am I urge anybody -- thinking about seeing it -- to not. It's quite the experience for something like this when you're here yes but I will say I'll I think that might stop watching -- and I like none of the Annan and I think -- and I will say this I think it's the best scary movie I have ever seen. And one of the best movies I have ever seen. I think it does what it does as good or better than any other movie does what it does this mean and I --"

" Urge everybody to rush out and seen -- movie. But in one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had to be here."

" And just think. I the only thing I'll add to that. Is anybody would agree with no I would not agree I don't -- that and I think all the way I would like. One reason why didn't want it and I stopped reviewing this means -- is I mean I felt that the -- Bomb did not allowed me she scare mean if -- as much as I had wanted however. No -- home because those -- that nice. I literally. -- you had a horrible horrible horrible and paranormal activity related nightmare -- Ninan. My girlfriend's name who what you think -- me like -- deceived me from my I mean yeah I deny terrorists coming in what is. Terrifying. So that happened but -- so that. You have to do our duty and informed those view it -- not playing your feeder you can go to I think -- not to be dot com and demanding it which is that was so brilliant things right I mean like."

" Because they're not they're not wasting money is that distributing and to an area where there isn't an audience for they're saying if you want this get enough people say that you want this and we'll get one great team and scandals are guaranteed ticket -- Yeah a minute you know. It feels like."

" You have ownership now does EU -- for this channel and bringing it here that's such a great idea like throw you know colonel want to be party in your neighborhood get enough people together to come that would see it you know more -- wrong --"

" Buzz this canyon quietly I loved I was just I thought it was incredible -- is it now well yes attacked."

" Action it's I mean night."

" So this week marks the beginning of that huge fall rush of holiday titles and we've got one of the games that we've been looking forward to with much anticipation. And that is uncharted two among thieves. At least two of us on this panel where I huge fans in the first uncharted game at least at least it did. -- It turns out the first MM actually got which was not dogs. Sort goes to rein her desk. Action adventure title. This is this the sequel that uses the same character aware with and meat and drink. Who is a descendant of sir Fred Francis -- ended a treasure hunter -- Indiana Jones. Big game he is. I was gonna go and -- I think is the pinnacle. Of interactive movie at this point. Very high production values are -- is the company did -- history exclusive game. I'm sure you if you watch the show you know about uncharted two -- any candidates."

" Last Dan. Didn't live up to expectations. -- expectations set by playing through me first uncharted. Twice which may be the first time I've ever done that with a game -- NC a single ever done that. Yeah I mean and even might Terry that I broke. Kress yes. And -- this score. Which has made in your pants again in in this uncharted two so I love this universe. I love this game. Done."

" But I will say the highest. Commendation nineteen -- this is that. I want the first one more reliant because I don't think there's any other whenever -- come -- and excited about this I don't think there's any other there. Com. Dean sequels where where in this sequel is not as good as the for usually game is different than movies improve upon because. The story in stuff like that aren't really is important in the game which is usually what -- as he -- I didn't like the story is much in this game and that's why if I had to play it again I would just played the first 13 time rather than this one again. Because this is so cinematic so much like a story that the reason why am playing is because I. Blog this indeed. And I loved what he says totally and I had -- Ghana and love when he says an act girl who's helping him along the way and then the other characters are coming in I just want this I just want to follow their story that's why am planning. I will say. Then more so than the first one I felt like when gun battles happened to everything halted -- is an arena. And gun battles were happening. And I -- in -- case I wish it on and I liked the I know in that the first one but there -- more ideas of what does this this. Hero playing historian I was shooting along the way and fighting along the way but it a little bit more. Purer I clean it and get on the last just like a shoot out that got a little bit. On redundant. The rinse and repeat. On but. That there are some incredible story elements there are some incredible lead. Well dying and send peace -- on it lot of arm I wish that there were more really the ones. So many I didn't do what every other level and is that I didn't think it I mean that I'm -- and I thought I. I hold train model is that these well trained Hubble on and it it's like. A non you know stuff like I was waiting to just set the game down for the night. -- I think I can't there's no great point you should say that that's the part of the geniuses can no one loading at all never know stop -- just in this story can it almost feels like. I can't stop playing and there's no. Stroke I basically say it's did that there's a multiplayer. Aspect -- it wasn't around the first one that is really good I played a little -- I'm just a regular multiplayer. And it is more like goldeneye that any other multiplayer I've ever played and I just that comes from the simplicity of the maps. And and the cat I just it just felt very much like that and there's a co op. Multiplayer. Day spectacular and on the only other time I've done that. Was Ramos six the treasure hunt Oden when you're just another guy just killing a -- here there's cut scenes from there's this story there's it's freely fine highly sought to levels I don't know there's more but that was pretty special things out. When you think. So."

" I had a lot of issues we do is on uncharted. One. I guess. And did not like just. Those sort was just really cut and drank you know cut in his Monday never interested me. I I did a big graphics or okay. I really hated being gay in their guns fighting I mean I really did not like. Uncharted -- one. Sports drinks fortune yes that's said I think in this game may be the best single player in an airplane. She definitely has some issues. But I I don't I don't care about these issues there's like a good example was. You know the the opening sequence vision showed all over the Internet knew -- was that. Not once that I feel like I could do something as the controller and affect the outcome of that saint. I could climate. But there was nothing I can do to make him fall off and not. I thought and so we took awhile because halfway through the entire game I just went and I didn't. I mean literally every time you I would get onto a wall I never felt like I was in -- I was always constantly pushing up and hitting next and I would get to Rasmussen got. For the most part. This author once -- but for the most part I never felt that so that was it that was an issue I had what I love about this game was. It's the first time where that cut scenes where something's. That I hate. -- our -- out there and this story got me or I was. In it to win it I don't know what happened but I literally would sit their holding my controller watching a twenty minute cut sane. And then I was like. Oh -- law I knew what what what's what's gonna happen next to with the storm which is not at all how I found about -- takes origin. And the graphics are unbelievable. And it really helps increase the game play. Of that the gun battles I really felt like us and great game play elements like when you're helping -- her sky yeah you can only easily -- Walken and and mom. And -- puzzle solving stuff."

" Is a little. Easier -- a little bit but I did you know this is this time yes I'm really about that but I."

" Yeah."

" You again I'm so -- there were no zombies. So happy because that's where really where drinks in I lost -- is on again and I was having so much fun killing you know Brad I think -- that and in others like you know -- around."

" this is me game that anybody who loves video games has got a flat it's phenomenal it high production value across the -- I mean literally."

" Triple A in every facet of production it's it's it's a spectacular game a reason my PS3. Everything is."

" A better. Movie. Then the fourth Indiana Jones felt him."

" Diana it well when does not mean it's not just a yeah yeah yeah."

" It's still flourishing and George Lucas and Harrison Ford made a movie that's not as good as this video game now what he's seeing ads for this -- guys like --"

" Australia -- stop yeah I."

" Previewed I think you should grab someone you love and play this game without sitting next to you because they won't be entertained. Yeah this is a phenomenal experience start to finish the."

" Action sequences he mentioned the train sequence and that sequence."

" Alone was in a video game it would be one of the best. Video games I played all year and a."

" That's because there's a gene sequence that is among the real. Salt launch happens -- a -- in -- in wildly different."

" Perry has now all looked absolutely stunning and this is one of the best graphics engines. MR I just didn't you -- is it -- from the first game but you know obviously they had stands. I cannot say enough great things about this candidate it is it is exactly what I hoped for and more it doesn't single player experience and I blew through it in you know a couple of days is a lengthy for these kinds of games and never -- there's never anything I'm doing well like -- get through this. To -- the next thing it's. It is the best paced game I think I've ever played because. While you are you breathless from these from these incredibly. Powerful action sequences the and you get into a series series where you're exploring more figure proposal does well so well. And let me just say the gun battles that you mention I think are much improved from the first game. They got any stealth mechanics have some data that is entirely fond I don't usually enjoy still."

" And -- There is the I don't it was a very cool now -- see there's a little bit more common -- I wish there was more tit for attack and it it was sort of like I do is an easy thing I like T and then that was there we don't have an attack. I was there -- was able that we do want a lot though where was like."

" All stealth all the time."

" And it just trusted -- an analyst revenue meanwhile every yeah I know I now and that's why it's good to get all just get through that again having frustrations with the sound a bit also the first game and in economy."

" I'm very unsatisfying way as far as what yet the last battle with the last boss and I telling -- last on this spot the good and lost in this game was much better handles. Really I feel like."

" This improved in the first game in every way you can ask for except for maybe you're saying story the only -- the only criticism I have is the dark haired woman. Feels like a video game character -- I whereas the blonde from the first game feels like and and that that I do well rounded human I feel like right not to talk about this is that there was a movie right arm which is dot delegates and highs coming to pay this thing because. I felt like the dark haired character. -- what I always felt like she literally yeah Chloe had always felt like she was going to betray him at any point. And then I realized. I wasn't supposed to feel that way and then it was sort of too late and I realize that -- started her to trust her throughout the entire time. You know I -- she portrayed that as as yeah I had -- ten cause you know she's supposed to be the anti hero let proceedings -- not I thought she was. Honda -- incredible night and -- because it wasn't who she was Brian and it does it feels like sequel to -- to a first game in the same way in the movies have sequels where they don't want solely comes in -- I know this guy. I don't know reactor is yeah -- like yes and but it but like other movie sequels it I felt like it at a more complicated plot. As opposed to a better like a -- the path of the -- the first one was so yeah exactly perfect and and clean and pure in this was just like let's is that we're characters like you know I mean."

" That's what I liked a lot as does the other ones dealing just -- I really couldn't connect -- the -- the other one."

" This woman for some reason and without this -- I really I I didn't I mean believe me I wish I could've while we all demanded. Yeah huge Russian -- vaccinations rocket."

" And welcome to the first ever new edition of the do you sit stagnant. Super sexy backs. When background -- studies go to the website and download it -- there's a lot of really cool you know I think smoking's community and ourselves. New TV in -- on the font yeah. Fun and -- did this guy here yeah it does slow burn. Her cell. Did she mean we're gonna be talking about to noon. Maybe you columns side -- shows obviously said he -- is a very much scifi show but also flash for which ABC's new sort of well lost is almost done we might as well jammed something and then it's sort of like glossed. And produced by ABC studios engines which is in just himself I wanna talk first about stargate universe. So stargate. Was for a first a movie which is great and immediate cease I did I really like a."

" I don't understand I never heard gotten to by the console and many times I find it is worrying many times that's. Sensing the new England's -- saying you never had you -- had and it. I was kind of very boring -- And you. Wow I never got I never understood what was us -- senator."

" Instead Chilean economy and good that did. The sort premise of started the movie and then started a series but this started as she won which is the first started serious. Stargate Atlantis which is the -- the first spin off from the started serious and then an hour and stargate universe. Basically -- RVs. One dimensional doors that you can TM and two walks through to other dimensional doors sort of all around the galaxies. I can DIY weren't home. Exactly -- half. What's okay well -- her or aimed doctor you like it's similar yes yes estates which transport particle and it's HTTP. Let's go off for humans and time space maneuvers. So. What day did people. It. Sort of set out to do with starting universe was to kind of get rid of all the bid back stuff. For the starting unit world and say you know it's somebody's inside five they should be watching one of our started shows. Maybe there are a little bit like -- he has started that's so weird thing when they're on these different things I was like political battles between the different sinuses and blah -- and I can't get into that. On Tuesday. So they like okay well it's got a whale which we can kind of clear that back slate and just draw in the people who are interested. And you just start exactly explained my situation. That's exactly -- I always -- I should be watching stargate but I never until it actually started now exactly that. Welcome to stagnate universe yeah so stargate universe stars Robert Carlyle which is very interest payment Robert Carlyle are our friends and and that confidant for wanting it from full Monty from trainspotting from 28 weeks later. Cynical British actor. As well as sort of an and relatively new name cast. But also has to believe me not from ER and Richard dean Anderson who is in the original stargate SG one. Has been doing some special investors can get the ball you know merged. Universe is as it -- doesn't diamond Phillips. LDA is this Internet like the Kyra Phillips as a work so -- context. Excuse me. Yeah and thanks for Internet and -- I just report I don't says sorry universe. And basically follows a group of people who have discovered at this sort of night Chiron which is what they call it. Which is basically there's a dial there's a switch on the ballot nobody can actually tune into. It finally figure out attending those Chevron Chevron handlers say Chiron Chiron cameras and actually telling him so the ninth Chevron. It opens up his warm holy -- there it through and another on this giant spaceship. Very very very far away from earth. And so it's this and traveling sort of you know. It can do voyager the TV series miles -- it means voyager. Below this in this show I would say it is very clear that they're trying to steal little hole left by Battlestar Galactica on scifi channel because it is very. Very now's our galactic at."

" Are they are surrogates to do you mean you didn't but the US just yet I have I have dabbled around not on battlestar at all at all."

" Based on -- some going to report also different plans and it's basically trips to individuals visual usually very TV not very battlestar."

" So road. Just."

" Frame it -- you know about your experience to get into SG. Yeah."

" Yeah -- like this I had no experience that this target other than seeing the film when it was in theaters which is scared to know how long that."

" I was ninety and sentenced."

" And was very excited about the prospect of this simply because I -- me let me start and I'm. I think that was when you push pressed even watch it -- and I."

" I didn't."

" Therefore did not even like a little bit and I know a lot of people are really into it mom and and I think."

" 95%. Of lying objections of the show my distaste for the show is from the Eli Wallace character. And he's."

" He's this is great -- the good bad and ugly but I think I want him no is we we sort of I think the way that they decided to concede that they used to -- new people into this universe was just to start with this kid who plays video games. And you know she is ushered into the world as a -- and we sort of -- isn't the experienced through his eyes -- unfortunately if there last time is years. The show is not if your movie is not cholesterol -- I don't want you using. That idea I hit it I found it absolutely. And completely off putting and -- and it's unfortunate because I think ideas in the show or are kinda uninteresting but. I watched them to two hour season premiere and then the next episode after that and I -- it felt like. Work to get through the -- not like them and she's saying OK can I don't actually a lot of anybody."

" And every Eileen really honor. I -- know I really I cared for her good interest. I was insane acting background as Jeff. Never seen and brilliant like kind of curious because anybody daunting task undertake non. And it while I didn't. Love me I think it actually -- you know he's in this -- lost character is our window into this university in and he's costs basically. And I none is as days I just he's in normal decent guy as we are and who knows nothing about -- well -- not know what I mean he's a genius this season he's a genius right. Do you like it costs a lot but I mean he's so -- cars nobody's heard what what the president when he's on the part of that universe. And he's just like as if we were religions were on the we got transport and that's right so. And it I don't think he was he's being give any any I is silly sort of like his face you know. But what's beautiful man I was expecting him to continue industries like to face those items are Canadian and I didn't need funny hair and -- here and then he was I don't think he's been given any in his opportunities yet but. There's a whole lot of TV series that I've felt based on the two and then that I can see this -- growing into -- getting the writer's understanding what they have rank and utilizing it. A that's an actor the clean out there on the -- in America are in the -- wasn't applying anywhere. Yeah I'm just yeah I'm hanging defending -- then hopefully they can start writing NSR writing that character much better. He doesn't offend me anyway and I -- is better but everything else bomb. I really want to like this show -- Sammy MA knowing that I watched I'm wanting to like get. It's visually spectacular if not for TV it's really great looking. Com and well dine in although -- acting I think is really get I think gone. Especially Robert Carlyle I love I'm glad to see him utilized and a mom and there's a lot -- existing ideas -- now unfortunately. There's not a lot of character just in the last episode of the startups have been aired we're finally getting a little character stuff. So it's going to draw the notions and is doing all the emotions very well ranks but I'm but I yeah I don't have any -- you examine fairness yeah and and and I'm hoping that it starts to do that because I could lose me but I'm."

" In to see if he gets Arabs think I I got checked. I couldn't agree more I'm I'm in to see if they can live up to what I wanted to be I agree with you as well. As soon as this started. The good news is without a whole -- all I did the heady air not -- and I didn't I found advance on the thing I didn't do any gang. And then the guy shows up on my little -- are very can't do this but then when Robert Carlisle showed up I was like okay. Yes that annoys Maine I'm gonna go with that because I wanna see what this where are they gonna go outside of that. You know yeah trouble that they used which is -- so where I think it started to lose me as Scotia also was when. It at at the end of the two are saying they kind of show their hand as you want the structure of every episode is going to be. Its course years then the monster of the week and how it's gonna play out and that's one I talents. How -- love that you know we EU wants the weakness it well blow the doors opening -- does he went on -- side. -- means. Whereas battlestar it was all about these people on this journey and though there -- where those episodes where it was a really -- off monster in the weeks it was in this is parallel stories this thing that's happening and I and I and I'm hoping that they'd spend more time with what. Is the main thing they're trying to do I rather than these weekly Johnston different planets. But I am and in enough to see more episodes. I'm just to see how it goes -- I think it's in some and we test back on and see how at least and I -- into don't. I should -- five cents so. We have no way onto flash forward ABC's new moms rushing forward flashing forward -- flash forward actually has probably are -- is because when you has passed out. All of you that there's some somebody's always this part of a segment. So flash forward as follows. Just as fine -- and and John show from start track. And -- sort -- of other people penny from lost is actually on there in. It's what has. But they got from -- Lord of the Rings and lost. The played Charlie on the -- there is also going to be on in some current. He's also going to be on the show us there's even crossover between actors on the Dominick Monahan want to saying screws up. So Donna is so there's even cross over on the this sort of -- and it's produced and created by -- go later. Who we know wrote. To help cover the dark and he read it -- any gains in and Dark Knight Dark Knight and also blade and directed blade three right. And Brandon -- are -- Brandon Rogge brought out who is. Has been a producer on star chart a lot of different Star Trek series it was. I think necessity these are serious producer on sex tech next generation as a producer on. Voyager -- nine and then also was a producer on non. The Star Trek movie sees big Star Trek guy. Have put together this shelf and the concept is. There was a moment in time and wish every single person on the planet passed out. For a 137. Seconds and it is that pass out every single one of them saw six months into the future while they were unconscious. Of what what they were going to be doing exactly six months in the future. And so it's this. Whodunit kind of why is done and ride lot on what none of -- what does it mean he's actually the future or was it just sort of mass consciousness. Is basically follows these FBI agents trying to solve. What they did that happen as well as a few other characters and sort of their experiences. Around it I'm big undertaking."

" Annual what did you think of flash for well first things first Shakespeare in Love as one of my favorite movies of all time and I -- been wondering what the heck happened to that awesome -- they Shakespeare any communicate things really finds -- out on this until it was a joy to see him on TV although -- see him. On and on I think I'm watching it did not loving his character and yet non John show I think this is. But -- great -- on the show. I a year of love the premise love the idea is. Find some and they idea is that it's exploring in just staying wishing it was exploring other things now has plenty of time to do that. On the I feel though that a lot like loss it's this show and and how I -- battlestar. Is that it's only as good as its plot. For that week and whereas other shows. My favorites. Are generally in -- is is cool when it's cool but I just all I care about is. All these characters and how their. In matched with with one another right. So it's it's only doing the one thing for me and I'm not loving it yet an interest in DC mortgage it's got such a what WTF premise media I'd just what kind of wanted to face yeah about -- that premise. I'm not varying in Gisenyi just an attack. What do you think as far as the production. Sort of client. Not for television it's extremely. Well. Well done. God --"

" And a different."

" I'm very nice about this the first episode I mean really got a feeling just it just didn't work for me into the second episode I was heart. And and I think you work that it was mostly because it really kind of got the need of of what this the ramifications of what this might mean. Two people seeing six months in the future and really completely changes the fabric. Of."

" Interpersonal relations. Of -- how one lives ones life."

" If you've seen. What you're doing in six months it and it's wonderful vote little bits where they showed delves into those philosophical."

" I implications and that's where the show really flies for me also the the -- brilliant."

" Of what is all asked. And there is. I think at the end of the second and so they show you tape a clip from a baseball stadium and that moment I was like all I gotta watch this show. Fortunately the third and fourth episodes which has seen now. We felt a little slow plodding and -- mom I'm I'm worried that the show we're gonna get bogged down in its own."

" Stink it's well into it it you know and I don't want I don't really want to see a medical drama in -- in -- Based in the show you know it's kind of it's happening a little man I really want those ideas to be to be."

" Flushed out."

" I'm really sticking with a -- last night."

" the fourth episode came on I was really excited to see it so did you write out I think gonna keep watching and I hope it doesn't. Come out so slowly that it revelations."

" And -- yeah I didn't really care for hurt in this series I'm gonna continue watching and it is I fear it's going to be. One of those things where there is going to be an episode. In -- three weeks four weeks that everybody is gonna be talking. I left my kids while watching and that's why I'm gonna continue watching and his like I know what's out anyway. Most of the stuff you know interpersonal stuff that's going on -- snooze -- and fast forwarding through scenes that are like yeah it's those statements like this stadium shot moments. That is the only reason I watch that show credit problem if the -- no problem is those moments are five minutes out of a forty and 55 minute. TV series. So I had I I feel like have to bear through a lot of stuff to get to that did not -- it's. Of fun side myself but again. You heard here first entry for weeks I -- talk about that craziest stuff going down a fast forward sounds couldn't."

" Did not in my whatever further articulate what I Singapore's -- my fear is that in the -- for this show and they're talking not and then what if it's this and when it hits that. And dividend where's that -- let the writers dreams of my favorite shows that says. And then. And then now in -- they don't get along -- and then what injury and didn't know they're gonna have if they think they're talking about people and characters and how they are happening yeah whispers in this. But does what the things that we're talking about -- things I talk about. In and we'll be releasing a -- we're talking not and then when he did that you know initially because I'm not his crew was. Baseball stadium --"

" So joy in just figuring it out stuff I think. This is I think me and him whereas C -- guys -- battle both of them a little if you -- we get a lot more. One -- TV."

Prayers he have had a preteen on -- love -- and do their birthday. I did not do the thing that I think a lot of kids can -- as a rite of passage which is like shoplift I never did that never shoplift it ever never really desired it. The one thing it was a high school and a bunch of friends that where I'm gonna go around and Steele street science -- man."

" Anger out on us now because I didn't. We -- Halloween right before Halloween. And I have some reason didn't go. Not."

" Because I wouldn't have I really -- a lot of fun but it turned out that night they were driving around without their lights on NASCAR and the cop. Can I mean idiots didn't -- like that other days it's sneak here and yet. It and then to couple hundred no lights on and then found like a stack of street signs on the passenger's seat. Actually I understand how we got got busted I wasn't there."

" So that's plus one for me not trying to -- you mr. illegal man's."

" Oh they never shop is sticky fingers. And and slimy. Fits I don't know I don't know I just voted. I think you go into that part of it danger are probably times that I probably described in the show previously. Like guillotine fireworks. And putting them all NA. But all of them any box to see what would happen anything. All our and then I think NASA today my friend and I mean we had bottle rockets one year and we -- when this would happen you know and only put her Barak in a bottle and it's up in the sky. And then we decide when to put on its hi this is still work well that's why a chorus there weren't -- eight."

" Well shot out through a fence and hit -- cop car allowance that's what you know --"

" We are -- first rate actually flat and we were we were rats cameras and yeah."

" He's like yeah I mean that's that's it that's it for."

" For me. I would say that the one thing that I did as a kid tonight I -- And really enjoyed it was also probably not quite legal is Alberta and a lot of clueless that a lot pools. In our neighborhoods and so we would go to out at night. We go out and find it either public -- are what are the wide lockdown jumps the fence. And they go swimming pool. All Opteron. I lot of I don't know Iran and a mom. And -- and I was really really find as one you swimming. And it -- nice is like cool yeah but then also you -- not -- As I mean there's there's like this whole area and they drag your clothes they had that at that moment like a car Atlantic Canada ninety slow and you're in good for you like really quiet and."

" You guys are combined it was really signers and if I mean stupid but I really find fun. And actually probably illegal so -- and my friend and that he had I yard with a with a sense and it did kind of was on hill on the road that went right by an orange tree and a recent take -- and throw them a -- and hit cars that we're really well probably illegal it. Until people has -- otherwise --"

" This incidentally -- brutal legend available now."

" Squarespace. And that flex."

" No on this week's TE RS we're talking now about where the wild things are and paranormal activity."

" Who got the video game uncharted two among thieves and TV is back. We -- stargate universe and -- I."

" And marshmallow man is toast."

" We know it's always. Ran ghost -- his -- name drugs stealing."

" Round much. Shown me."

" It's only right jabs at number one. 35 I'm not some random cannot that's second -- for the current call that an accurate as an."

TV series. Episode 135: Tit For Tat - Where the Wild Things Are, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Paranormal Activity, FlashForward, and Stargate: Universe [Discussion]

Should you go Where the Wild Things Are? Is Uncharted 2 really that good? We can't even talk about Paranormal Activity! Plus, the new Stargate series and Goyer's FlashForward

Watch or download the episode now

sadly was a bit disappointed by the TV segment, i was so excited to hear about the review for SGU from the guys (been watching SG since it started on Showtime back in the day), and felt like it was just pushed aside, and also very surprised that Jeff really didn't give it a true chance, besides the 3-part premeire (but was hooked on flashforward on the 2nd ep?), but i understand if something doesnt catch you early so i appreciate his honesty, but it would be nice to have jeff revisit the series in a while after its got a few eps under its belt

it's funny tho cuz i totally said to my friends that it is a bit like voyager in the fact they're lost and in a serialized/style way like BSG, but ts going to be really good

overall great ep guys, keep it up, thank you!

I find it rather odd that you guys didn't discuss Brutal Legend this week since it came out the same day as Uncharted 2 especially since its been one of the show sponsors for the last couple weeks.

That's precisely why they didn't review the game. They've explained this before for another game. I would personally like to see them review it as well, but it probably won't happen.

I was really hoping for more of a discussion on Paranormal Activity. Dan didn't seem to care for the movie that much and I would have liked to hear why that is.

I've never watched any of the Stargate shows. SGU looks much more interesting, but I'm not quite sure if I'll end up watching it. I'm also really mixed on Flash Forward. I like the concept of the show. The problem is I don't care about any of the characters. Also, Like Alex said, the show plods along until the last five minutes that make you want to watch the next week's episode. I also felt that the writing and acting fell a bit flat in the first couple of episodes. It seems a little better now.

As far as TV goes, they need to give Fringe another shot. I felt similarly to them when the show first started, but it's gotten much better (though the first 2 episodes of the new season were not that great).

I completely agree.

I also have to say that SGU is very different to any of the other Stargate series so it is definitely not a substitute for watching those. SG1 and Atlantis are all about freeing the galaxy from the tyranny of seemingly unstoppable enemies by using ingenuity. SGU is all about the relationships of a bunch of people stuck on a ship.

The Eli Wallace character is just geeky comic relief, in the same way that David Hewlett's character was in Atlantis. If you cant get over the first 10 minutes in which he's abducted while playing a computer game, skip the first 10 minutes. Easy.

I'm a bit disappointed with SGU in general just because it's absolutely nothing like the Stargate that I know and love. I don't really watch science fiction to see how characters interact when they have cabin fever.

Also, LDP is a human telephone.

Another Episode in which JC takes the words right out of my mouth.

I felt the exact same way at the end of "Where the Wild Things Are". I wasn't upset at the movie, it wasn't a bad movie by any sort of stretch, I just sort of felt disappointed at the ending -- it was rather lackluster for me, and I didn't really fell that I "gained" anything by watching the movie, if that makes sense.

why review paranormal activity if alex hasn't seen it yet?

i agree with dan that this wasn't the scariest movie ever, but somehow i'm not surprised that jeff was so hype about it. really jeff? this flick was scarier than the orphanage?

I think the problem with FlashForward is the same one that Lost had pre-season 4 and BSG had post-season 1; anything more than 16 episodes causes a lot of slow down. Its like the writers have a beginning, a middle and an end all drawn out but they have to stretch a 16-hour story into a 20-22 hour story.

I am still watching though as the plot intrigues me.

I gotta say that the creators of SGU are taking abit of a slow path to establish "a base" of their "universe" and letting the viewer know the character before getting into the crazy "expedition" type scenarios.

For the e-mail... Alex left out his trip to Jamaica where he and friends tried to buy some pot. He mentioned "pool-hopping".... come on guys... statute of limitations is generally 5 years.. You can admit youthful indescretions and not get busted....

I'll go 1st.. I shot cars on the freeway with a beebee gun, I shoplifted, I drank beer at a construction site when underage (We found the 1 1/2 case of beer there already) and used their scaffolding for firewood, I smuggled pot in from mexico and charged a 10% bankroll fee (I can admit that because I've already been charged, took a plea, and served my time). I'll wait another year or 2 for limitations to run out for more.... but come on.... not many have a past like me... because not many get introduced to heroin addict bikers in their youth and get into situations... but come on...

Yes I'm not trying to get Sponsors etc... so I can talk about my past.. but instead of being disingenuous and denying any youthful indescretions.... (especially Alex) shoulda just given a "No Comment"

I would just like to say that the faces that Dan and Jeff make during their name credits at the beginning are hilarious. Classic 80's-break-the-4th-wall-credit. I just miss the black and white Dan leaning in to say "Video games!".
