Would You Want to Survive the End of Civilization?

We posed a question on our website - Would you want to survive the end of civilization? The answers varied but in Esther's mind unless there was technology enough to create usable corrective eye wear again it wouldn't be worth it. Annalee believes you don't need to restart from scotch and points out The Global Village Construction Set. A site dedicated to preserving the knowledge to for 50 simple designs for all the machines you need to restart civilization, from robotic arms and threshers, to a machine that can make aluminum and another that can milk cows.
