This, I gotta watch... Lets see how great Gary's taste really is.

Geez, Cantillion. Talk about extreme tasting. That stuff is a major acquired taste.

I must say, I'm a little disappointed that Gary couldn't break his wine paradigm and stop the spitting. Beer is not properly tasted by spitting because you loose the finish. Certified beer judges never spit.

I usually refer to Lindeman's Framboise as the "un-beer." It's the only beer my wife will touch. It's less sour than Lambic oughta be. I really didn't enjoy Lambic until I visited Belgium and had to together with the Belgian food. French Fries were invented in Belgium and they go great with most of these sour beers.

My Lambic recommendation Leifman's Goudenband.

Gary jumps in with 4 Australian Shiraz's that he's now re-examining because he feels his palette is changing a little bit and is now more "open" to the fruit bombs. Watch and see as Gary unveils w wines that are spot on scoring wise with Wine Spectator and 2 that are completely "not". These wines are all in the $60 - mid $70 range.

I have no idea, well it was on a truck for at least 5 days.
I don't think the box was in direct sunlight.

They never showed up Tuesday so it's not looking too good :(

I've ordered from winelibrary before You were on rev3 , and now that you're here I'm glad I can be entertained by tech and nutty wine reviews. thx

Here's my question,
I am ADDICTED to Punto Final Malbec, both the reserva and non. My palette loves them so much it booked a trip to Argentina
(where btw most Malbecs are twice the price). I've Purchased Malbecs from most major winerys in Argentina, but none of them satisfy me like Punto's $13 unfiltered goodness.

Please Gary hook me up with something similar, malbec or not and I'll buy a case tomorrow.

In this fine episode, Gary V tastes 4 wines from Ohio. While Gary strongly feels that over the next decade or two we will be seeing more wines coming out of the "other 48", he also feels that there are a few hurdles to jump first. The main issue here with these wines are the price point. While some compare and do well against the "big" wines, the price makes it a little more difficult to swallow. Of the four, three do pretty well. Follow Gary on a tour that involves tastes and aromas from peaches, apples and kiwi to splenda, olive oil and diapers.

i have had a life experience that has changed my situation till my son is 18 or, 21 if he goes to college. It has been a long process of finding wines that i like, i am trying one new to me Beringer, to give an idea what i am looking for, not too bad but even now as it warms up i can feel the change of taste... I come back to Manischewitz (like all but the grape), and Riunite (so far so good on all). I have tried to read the labels were, and when, but still not enough info on the bottles. Any help based on the two labels i gave, area of the grape or process of the wine to give me a better direction to experiment, to suite my pallet(sp). Until the 24 hour show i thought i was going crazy, wine can't change that much that fast, but they do and thanks for the show and wisdom on the pallet (sp).

a man getting drunk thanks you ahead of time....

P.S. i know they are cheap as hell but i deal with what i got left over.

I dunno about Brooklyn Wines ... but I do anjoy the Fingerlake Wine country, and the Ice Wines produced up there.
