Gary's Notes:

2004 Johanneshof Reinisch St Laurent (Austrian St Laurent)

89 pts. - Gary Vaynerchuk

#2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very interesting nose; mulberry component; heavy dose of cassis; underlying plum pie; little shot of blackberry brandy liqueur candies; TASTE-medium bodied w/ great back-end tannins structure; mulberry dominates the flavor profile; nice balance; acacia flower component on the transition from the mid-palate to the back-end; Pomegranate juice on the back-end; I like this wine; perfect w/ cheese; an entertaining and focused wine; there's a little back-end fake leather Gucci bag flavor going on; this wine inspires me; it's a little light for those who like big, over-the-top wines; a good food wine (great w/ fish); I highly recommend; GV-89

2005 Kartauserhof Decimo (Austrian Red Meritage)

92 pts. - Gary Vaynerchuk

#1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-white powdered pepper; brussel sprout mixed w/ soap; tight; hint of grape ice pop; some earthiness; raspberry undertone; TASTE-this is very good; very floral; enormous Rose petal; Acai berry; this is exceptionally good; underlying pepper w/ bright fruit & floral component is just awesome; my mouth is singing; amazing transition on the mid-palate where it goes from a gorgeous blackberry and Acai berry to a very floral (lilac and rose petal) and then finishes w/ the Tex/Mex red pepper sauce action; would be great w/ cheese; this wine really grips my palate; GV-92
