4 Wines from up and coming Ohio
Monday, August 18th, 2008 running time 04:49
In this fine episode, Gary V tastes 4 wines from Ohio. While Gary strongly feels that over the next decade or two we will be seeing more wines coming out of the "other 48", he also feels that there are a few hurdles to jump first. The main issue here with these wines are the price point. While some compare and do well against the "big" wines, the price makes it a little more difficult to swallow. Of the four, three do pretty well. Follow Gary on a tour that involves tastes and aromas from peaches, apples and kiwi to splenda, olive oil and diapers.
Wines tasted:
- 2006 Harpersfield Pinot Gris
- 2007 Harmony Hill Woodwind
- 2007 Kinkead Ridge Revelation
- 2006 Kinkead Ridge Viognier/Roussanne
