Some of the wines mentioned do not sound like true italian names. Makes me wonder if they are truly from Italy.
I know nothing about wine anyway. I prefer to make my own wine for home use.

Geez, Cantillion. Talk about extreme tasting. That stuff is a major acquired taste.


I must say, I'm a little disappointed that Gary couldn't break his wine paradigm and stop the spitting. Beer is not properly tasted by spitting because you loose the finish. Certified beer judges never spit.

I usually refer to Lindeman's Framboise as the "un-beer." It's the only beer my wife will touch. It's less sour than Lambic oughta be. I really didn't enjoy Lambic until I visited Belgium and had to together with the Belgian food. French Fries were invented in Belgium and they go great with most of these sour beers.

My Lambic recommendation Leifman's Goudenband.

Gary jumps in with 4 Australian Shiraz's that he's now re-examining because he feels his palette is changing a little bit and is now more "open" to the fruit bombs. Watch and see as Gary unveils w wines that are spot on scoring wise with Wine Spectator and 2 that are completely "not". These wines are all in the $60 - mid $70 range.
